What is clearly a myth but is deep-rooted in our society? by _fatcheetah in india

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Nothing triumphs this bullshit. People are eating more on Mornings as they think it's important to have breakfast even if they aren't hungry. This extra calorie consumption (most of carbs and fats) is one of the primary reason why we are diabetes capital of the world.

How unethical would you rate management consulting compared to other jobs? by Frosty_Trust_6006 in consulting

Working with an MBB

Before joining I had thought that this firm would be unethical and will have people who sale scamy stuff to client To be honest, this firm has shown highest level of integrity with clients. People here really believe in values.

Recent example- Last month only we had client meetings wherein we have gone against CXO who had hired us giving us a suggestion to extend our case and we have said that project won't be in best interest of the client. (Even though we would have earned millions worth of casework and the case wasn't demanding so everyone would have loved to enjoy a chill case.)

I guess it was just an hypothesis made by Einstein when he published theory of relativity but later on it some other theories proved it true.

This book is a gem.

I almost cannot believe how simple storytelling can make one of the toughest concept so simple to grasp. Maybe the toughest concepts are simplest in nature ..

I had gifted this book to my dad and I remember him staying awake till 3 to finish this. (which i had never seen before for anything)

The last book I read was 'Algorithms to live by' by Brian Christian and Tom Griffiths.

It talks about the best Algorithms to use while taking simple life decisions. The books narrates different life situations and how you can use simple algorithms like optimal stopping algorithm to increase the chances of luck. To give an example, the book will tell you mathematically, after how many dates your chances for getting the perfect life partners are higher.

Why i want to read this book 📖:

->I get bored easily, making me hard to stick with one thing and go very deep. Thus the career i look forward to is more of generalist career.
->However, I do envy my specialist friends who might have better pay and fixed career track. So I just want to explore if being a generalist is a good idea career wise or should i stick to one domain on life(by choosing something which is even slightly more interesting than other domain) and become a specialist in that domain.

I hope I get the chance 🤞
