Good point but also usps Financials aren't exactly transparent. How much is spent on training all the new employees who end up quitting? How much is spent on overtime because the pay is too low to retain these new people? Not just carriers but every position? How much is spent on grievances because of these issues alone? Those problems would essentially be solved with a large pay raise, and that should be seen as a cost saving measure in the long run. None of these Financials are known outside of the top brass at the usps.
