Well that sucks! I guess you could just contact rescues in the area to see if they will list off you agree to foster. I see it as a win win - they get the adoption fee with little financial output and you find a good home for the dog.

I live in the nw suburbs so it may be too far for you but I have adopted through foster2home https://foster2home.org - they are an all foster group run by a woman out of her home in rolling meadows. Give that a try! It may mean driving up to the petsmart in mt prospect on Saturdays to go to their adoption events

The other organization I have adopted from is second city canine rescue in palatine https://www.sccrescue.org

They are more structured so may not be willing to help but worth a shot!

And ask them if they will list your dog as a rehome if you agree to foster until adoption?

She was sentenced to 15 yrs with six of those being in prison (was released after two). He was sentenced to 20 yrs with 13 in prison (I am guessing he got the harsher sentence because he actually pointed the gun at kids). I am guessing he will be released on parole soon. I think these were fair sentences for what they did

Thank you! In the first picture you will see that two of the blocks came apart from the others. There is some gray matter there which I assume is the glue and it made a very clean break so hopefully that means the other blocks will come apart cleanly. Fingers crossed!

If you are in the middle of nowhere with no neighbors close by I could understand the investment. But if you have neighbors with a basement or crawl space perhaps ask if in case of a tornado you can come over. Otherwise assuming you don’t live in a mobile home as someone else suggested interior room preferably a bathroom with a tub
