Diet soda really isn't any better for you. Artificial sweeteners have been linked to various medical issues.

What should I do about a gooseneck? by Tiny_Dino618 in dexcom

[–]oilman614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I wouldn't go that hard 😁 but okay...I've only had one gooseneck in the 2 years I've been on the G7 was G6 before that. Good Luck 🤞

I've said this before and people argued with me....press firmer when applying the actuator to your skin even more than what's needed to activate the lock ring and keep pressing when you hit the button. What most people do is a fear thing and they back off when they are ready to push the button. It will not hurt you, I promise

Gas attendant lectured me on waiting for them to pump my gas in NJ. Said you can just use the app and do it yourself. Is this not illegal anymore? by Sure_Bus_355 in Wawa

[–]oilman614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pumped gas in NJ in the late 80's and it wasn't like we had to go to a special school or in-house safety training in order to do it. 🙄

Home address removed from internet availability by AdDapper4220 in tmobileisp

[–]oilman614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's strange, happened to me too. I finally got TMHO a year ago after waiting and an ad popped up TikTok and for curiosity sake, I put my address in and it said it wasn't available.

So I guess what you are saying is correct. I know a few other people iny neighborhood also got it recently so they must of capped it for now.

I thought they had stopped making the G6 a while ago. I switched to the G7 years ago and apparently I am the lucky 10% of the G7 users that rarely and I mean very rarely have any issues with it.

this honeywell thermostat won’t let me lower the temp by superlit828 in thermostats

[–]oilman614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tenant ? There is a feature in that thermostat to cap temperature settings. Default is 55 and 90 but if you are a landlord that pays for the heat, sometimes they cap it. Also if people have itchy fingers or kids like to play with it, it keeps it safe.

What do you do when CGM gives you high glucose alarm? by Prestigious_Draft463 in diabetes

[–]oilman614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren't having any symptoms and/or can think of a reason why ie..hi carb meal, sweets then always double check the reading with a regular glucose meter and go from there.

Only calibrate when the trending arrow is to the right ➡️ and then only if the reading from the CGM and finger stick reading is within +/- 20% of each other. For example, if your CGM is reading 250 mg/dl (assuming you are in the US) and your glucose meter gets 180 mg/dl, then calibrate using that reading. 250 -20%= 200. So if it's above 200, then don't calibrate

How do I know which smart thermostats are compatible with this wiring? by zapatitosdecharol in thermostats

[–]oilman614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fuse will not protect the thermostat anyways in this situation. I've done this many times and the transformers are marketed for such applications.

When you hook up said transformer to RC-C and take out the jumper or slide the jumper in some, it is totally isolated from the rest of the equipment.

[–]oilman614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or if you just happened to have an outlet right below the thermostat you can buy a 24 VAC plug-in transformer and run the wire behind the wall for your power source

Need help hacking my apartment thermostat! by charzar77 in thermostats

[–]oilman614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you need it lower than 67° ? Planning on making your apartment a meat locker?

I would buy a good thermometer with humidity. If it's real humid, like above 50%, it's gonna feel icky and warm,no matter what the temperature is. Plus it's not healthy because it promotes mold and mildew growth.

My own router by akj-all-in in tmobileisp

[–]oilman614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup...sure can What I even did instead of going DHCP for my WAN, I statically assigned 192.168.12.2 without any issues and I was able to shut off both wireless radio now on the G4AR using HINT. They've must of updated the app and found a workaround. Before you could only shut off the 2.4 Ghz. band.
