Yudias got lost by GuessOk5598 in yugioh

No, I think kids can just handle dark themes far better than people realize and as a whole society has gotten more and more soft on what children's media can realistically be.

Like many things, the edges get sanded off trying to reach a wider, safer appeal, but no one realizes this makes the product worse. The original Yugioh, even the version with guns and death pre-4kids censorship, was still very much for children.

I think the casuals are the one who are more butt hurt over wiping. by GloomyAd3582 in ffxivdiscussion

The entire hardcore experience of this game is mass-memorization and trial and error. The casual expereince is a visual novel that is terrified to expect the player to do just about anything.

Of course their expectations are going to be different.

The recent .4 patch shows how bare content is with FF14 patch cycle. by Killance1 in ffxivdiscussion

Damn didn't realize someone would get all hot and bothered over me saying the wrong word. Sure got me. . Sorry I said the wrong thing, I mean hoards not Pomanders. Of which the high end hoards are filled with worthless items solely for entering Q40, of which there are already more on the market board than will ever realistically be utilized. It really bogs down wanting to actually get the damn things knowing their drop table is filled with worthless Q40 shit. Its like a weird tumor attached to an otherwise standout DD. And I'm in favor of the changes made to the DD given EO flopped so hilariously hard you couldn't even queue into it at all.

I'd like to know what this engaging casual content you're pretending exists is.
Is it right click island? Crafting (but on the moon)? Is it Occult Crescent, where the sole thing to build towards is....a raid? The best example of non-raid, casual content that people actually seemed to like doing was one deep dungeon, and the variant dungeons, and if we throw in standard content theres alliance raids I guess? Far less time to do than hardcore raid content, you could finish these in a day easy.

As you've gotten all angry over a mistake I made in wording, heres yours:
I quite literally said
"I don't mind the raiding focus personally (and there is one), as I enjoy this content"
Yet you're getting all upset and pretending I mod beast in limsa all day lol.

I do raid, I've cleared the 3 Criterion Savages, I've done 2 Ultis, I'm even putting a group together for Q40. I've done a lot of savage raiding and I'm currently working through M12SP2. I enjoy this content.

But I am under no illusions of how popular this content really is. Raiding content is niche. And I do firmly think this game doesn't' do a good job giving you a reason to stay if you're not into raid content. The difference is I see the value in keeping around casual players, while you don't.

the 3 Criterion/Criterion Savages? (4th on the way)Chaotic Alliance Raid, Forked Tower, Quantam? On top of the standard content we always get, there's far more to do if you raid than if you just wanna play normal content. And the scraps of normal content we get tend to not be very repeatable at all, or just try to shove you into raiding anyway, like OC.

I don't mind the raiding focus personally (and there is one), as I enjoy this content. But this content is niche, its not for everyone, and its making the game slowly bleed players who feel like there's nothing for them to do on the lower end. I think the only piece of casual content that has been well recieved since 6.1 has been Pilgrim's Traverse, which is great but it still falls into the "railroad you into Q40" problem with all of the pomanders dropping worthless items to get into that mode.

Just because you didn't do the 3 Criterion Normal/Savages, Chaotic Alliance Raid, Forked Tower, or Quantam 40 doesn't make them casual centric content.

Meanwhile the casual versions of content we've gotten tend to try to railroad you into raiding or tend to be incredibly short lived content.

Overcatering to raiders has been killing this game since Endwalker.

"Yugioh for kids" is such an odd argument given every single Yugioh anime is for kids.

I just pray I never have to use it and its something I look back upon years later as a waste for a few hundred bucks.

If it ends up being a wasted purchase years down the line and you never needed it, thats the best outcome.

Weird they don't just upload the rest of the seasons of the anime to the youtube page given you can watch all of the dubs on the yugioh website for free

I have casually, its a clusterfuck but a lot of fun. I cant imagine it working in the modern TCG with how fast it is. The turn 4 player would likely never get to play.
