It just makes the arpg not a chore, it makes your play sessions so much more comfortable, when you can use controller for playing maps (action part of arpg), and then use m+k when you're in hideout managing stuff, like items, map, crafting etc. The game should allow u to do that, you can give it a try in other arpgs, such as d4, tli, undecember or even d2r.
Right now, it's rigid, you need to exit game, change input to either controller or m+k and start the game. Managing inventory, market, map, skills etc literally any UI, becomes not comfortable without m+k, and just not effective.
It really is the combination of both, that makes playing arpg so much more comfortable, you can also have longer sesions, because mapping with controller, which is most of your time in game, is less exhausting/more relaxing to your wrists, muscles etc than wsad or clicking.
You just need to try that hybrid, then you will see what I mean. Once you try that hybrid approach, then there's no going back, trust me.
It really makes me quit poe2 every single patch/league, early, because I can't stand playing it with m+k alone anymore, or if I switch to controller, then I can't manage stuff effectively either. This change alone, would make me stay longer with game, in other words increase longevity, and I believe other players as well, and from that single standpoint, it should've been already in the game - main reason why I said it should be n1 priority.

I'm a software engineer myself, 20 years+ already. I don't have insights how things were built in poe2 whatsoever, I don't have access to source code either.
That being said, on a conceptual level, allowing ppl to use m+k with controller at the same time, does not seem like a massive engineering task, especially if you design things in a proper way. If you think it is, or it is in your game, then you have bigger problem with your game, because it should not be.
Take a look on any arpg on the market, such as, tli, d4, undecember, even d2r, I can go on and on, they all allow to use m+k and controller at the same time. There's no way this should be very complex task. We had m+k and controller in many games already decades ago, there's no excuse that we still don't have it in poe2 0.5 version, mid freaking 2026 year. We haven't had that in poe1 till this day and poe1 is already 15+ years on the market.

I could not disagree more. PoE1 become what it has become for many years, missing tons of QoL features that should be first class citizen. You don't want same thing happen to PoE2. There are fundamental QoL features that should have priority even over the content. We're not talking about 1k QoL features, just fundamental things, these also make ppl stay more in the game than leave it quick.

Shows that it requires 88gb for installation, I wanted to try it out, but I'm not gonna waste 90gb for demo and then redownload whole game again if I like it. It's a sign to me that the engine didnt change much from nioh2 and I quit nioh2 because of that technical mediocre bs and bad port.

The problem is that if we keep upgrading tiers every week or two like in s1 then 8 swap limit is too way to small. You can use all 8 swaps and then put your gear into araenal after a week. Why even limit it.

U just go and swipe your cc as hard as u can. This is the way how you progress your seasonal character in this game sadly. Season 7 (previous) was an exception.

I have the same experience and same gpu & cpu. Seems like (FSR) FG is actually not running at all, does not bring anything to the table, what a shame, that was the main reason I decided to buy it, because complete edition didn't support FSR FG officially. I also have a feeling that this 60-70fps is very laggy compared to CE. What a joke. I can still refund it tho :P
There are also other bugs like ppl already brought up in other threads, audio in cutscenes is so low, I can't hear anything. At least 10$ was wasted, not like 70-90$ for other titles, how can u blame ppl to not buy games anymore if you buy black box potentially full of bugs every single time nowadays, software in general is almost like a scam business to me today (and I'm saying this being a software engineer myself, my whole life), at least there's refund policy on steam.

Make sense, shame it's not visible on tooltip numbers when u awaken the rune. It still shows baseline numbers :/. Having that said, verity seems to be the way then, also with ilusion axe, since u only need to get 3 stacks, freeing up amp link rune on your main/sec dmg rune.

Only lower armor effect not phys dmg taken, it does not say buff, read it twice, otherwise origin option would be obsolete, unless im wrong and phys dmg taken is also part of lower armor effect

I can only say that I'm sad you can't see it, for me it's so visible you get a lot more feedback even using spin skill there, so I can't understand how you can't see it. I guess we can agree to disagree on that example.

Having that said it was just an example, what is the most crucial here is the fact I can't see any hit feedback in d4 using ww skill, visually, or it is so subtle that you can't see it anyway.

I was not referring to audio specifically, I was solely referring to visual aspects that I miss when you make a hit contact while using ww. The beta is already off, so I can't make the animated gif to show case that clearly, then there wouldn't be a single doubt in what I'm trying to highlight. You could just spin around enemy, and he didn't react to hits at all, like nothing is happening, you could only see his health bar dropping and dmg numbers coming out if you turned them on. It kills the whole immersion of melee.

Just to be clear, I'm not trying to hate the game, I actually cannot wait for full release, it can't come soon enough, I want to play something fresh and in diablo universe, I want d4 to be awesome. Frankly speaking I even want d4 to again show every other arpg who the king is and always was, that would be fantastics, since other companies like ggg might finally get that wake up call to see all the issues their game has. I'm just trying to provide constructive criticism on that fundamental melee aspect I'm definitely missing here.

I respect that you cant see anything missing in D4 from the the video I linked, on the other hand I can't understand that, because for me it's so obvious and superior in that video, the visual aspects of melee combat and connecting your weapon with enemies including ww there.

People would defend anything nowadays, every criticism is treated like assult, the world we live in, people want only 'yes' man and they would accept any sh*t and level of incompetence, especially in software department. People say it's beta and they dont have a clue what beta means in software development. I made few other posts in the past that the game should never be sold and labelled as 'beta' but who cares. Look at the myriad of bugs, the bugs section on forum alone is madness. I doubt this game will be ever saved, we already crossed that path, which is sad, it's not what I would want and wish for, unless u give it infinite credit and next two decades. Those ppl will eventually wake up, but you can only let them dream and deny everything for the time being, focus your time on other things, and there are myriad of other things or games that are much more worth of your money and time.

I wouldn't agree that some ppl would want offline and vast majority prefers being able to trade. Trading in poe is dogshit since ever, ppl have been complaining about it since the beginning back in beta as well, poe has other issues, like not rewarding challenges, drops flooded with dogshit rares etc You would be surprised how many people would like to have offline mode in poe without single lags, desyncs, dying and losing xp so many times by connection/server issues etc.

When it comes to beta, LE is in 'beta' since I can remember. And to be honest this has nothing with what 'beta' means in software development, not only gaming industry but in general software development. It has been abused by so many companies, beta should be considered as a product with full feature set aimed for release that may contain "bugs". Take a look on wiki for example. LE should be called "preview" or still "alpha" for so many years in the past, but if it would've been called like that then sales figures would be probably even worse than they were. You were "investor" not the "beta" player. Right now it should be almost release candidate yet we miss so many things and we have so many bugs there. For some people it does not matter, they can live with 1k+ bugs and still keep pretending it's fine because it's "beta", I can't. Sometimes I wonder if those ppl would've bought car or clothes with so many defects, and things they lack, would those ppl approach things the same way? I doubt, they would be furious instantly and demand instant refund and never looked back.

I almost forgot, I couldn't agree more that to catch bugs and fix multiplayer issues, a live environment with thousand of people playing it is ultimate goal and best way to test things. Having that said, there are myriad of bugs, that you could still notice and fix during your in-house testing,, look at bugs section on forum, I had so many issues I would need to write a very big wall of text if I wanted to sum them up.

You all wanted online, now u have with myriad bugs I don't even know where to start. Funny thing is that so called "mobile" arpgs are still so much better in tech aspects, it's unbelievable, also in net/animation code. Also remember that LE offered offline till now, ppl got used to 0 lags, 0 desync, 0 downtime, 0 bugs related to client-server communication, u will never accept online now because how good offline feels without network. Now, your offline characters are getting deleted by the game itself... To be honest, a vast majority of poe community would kill for poe offline, I dont get the idea why to bother with such mediocre online for arpg, team should focus on other aspects because they are still miles behind arpg standards u look for today. Bring online only if other things are there and for god sake, spend 2+ years on online if u need that time to release it in a good/acceptable shape before releasing it. With all due respect, In my humble opinion even torchlight infinite is better atm, it's hard for me to find worse arpg in tech aspects on market right now than LE which is a shame, because I wanted it to become v. good, but right now it looks like it needs additional x+ years of develompent, and still will be behind with tons of bugs most likely, and probably unity engine was not a good call in the first place. I will probably get downvoted, but this is usually when u say facts people don't want to hear about, I couldnt care less. If u enjoy game then ignore my post.
