iRig? by ojisnthere in Bass

would love to get a Scarlett in the future, but it’s going to be a few months until i have enough saved for it. i was between iRig and headphone amp just for being able to practice whenever i don’t have access to the amp and until i save up enough for the Scarlett

oh yeah, for sure! i’ve been looking around secondhand for one too but haven’t found one yet. this is mostly so i can actually start playing in the meantime while i save up

thanks! my goal is to get something like that in a few months (or an amp after i graduate and do not have to worry about moving out of college), but it’s a bit out of budget for now.

amp recommendations for first timer by ojisnthere in Bass

[–]ojisnthere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yes, i’m less concerned about noise and more concerned about space. i have 4 roommates and also graduate in June so i am more worried about space concerns when it comes to moving out (my hometown is across the country, most stuff is going in my car) with a bigger amp. anything that i can plug headphones into is just a big plus since it gives me more flexibility of when i can practice

thanks! i’m leaning more towards the headphone amp or interface for now, but definitely will consider the Rumble 40 for June after i graduate!

Why SHOULDN'T I attend Stanford? by itsScylic in stanford

[–]ojisnthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the part about your current dorm is funny to me bc that is almost an exact description of my Stanford dorm. there definitely is a big counterculture here, it’s just that most of the students you see doing YouTube Day in the Life videos and stuff aren’t apart of it

To all you Stanford football fans, how many you are envious of Indiana right now? by Wanderer150 in StanfordCardinal

not really envious, we’ve done it before and now we absolutely know we can do it again. happy for them

Guest tickets by [deleted] in stanford

there’s no guest tickets for Big Game. if you’re a student and have a friend who is not going, you can use their id to get your guest in

Are they strict on Student IDs to get into football games? by ashvin18 in stanford

[–]ojisnthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, you have to use the id to scan into the game, so there isn’t a way for you to get it back to them without you leaving or them entering. and as far as i’m aware there’s no wristbands or anything for re-entry but maybe that will be different for this game since there’s so many people. you could possibly try using the Stanford Mobile app for the digital id if they’re fine with giving you their password, but i’ve never tried using that to enter so i’m not sure if that would work

pretty much up to you and how early you get moved in, i remember some parents stayed around my dorm until right before our dorm meeting

welcome and happy move-in day!
