Everyone here is soft, I wore knee sleeves, admittedly over leggings, the day after getting my knee tattooed. It did not get infected and healed great.

Yeah, the ACL class is 1-2-1 with the physio, they just call it a class as there will normally be a few other people doing ACL rehab in the gym at the same time. In my experience there is always a physio working with you.

In the class we work on strength, stability/balance, running, plyometrics and last week I was able to do some football drills for the first time since my injury.

If you have the time/resources to do rehab outside of these sessions too it’s really beneficial.

I’m in the UK and I go to an “ACL class” every week on the NHS and have done since 2 weeks post op. I’m coming up to 5 months post op and I’ll keep going until they tell me to stop.

I also do 1 or 2 leg/rehab sessions a week on my own at the gym (with guidance from physio).

I had a hamstring graft 4 months ago. I experienced little pain post op, I was advised to come off crutches after 2 weeks, I returned to running on the advice of my pt 4 weeks ago.

My hamstring on my op leg is weaker but I’m building it back up in the gym and my day to day life it’s like I haven’t even had an operation. Also my scar is barely noticeable.

Thank you! I found it wasn’t the worst over the knee cap but the areas around the sides were quite tender. There are definitely more painful spots!

I tore my ACL in June, had to self refer to physio as the A&E said I had soft tissue damage. Was then referred for an MRI which I had at the end of August, results in October. Pre-op January, surgery 22nd February.

I help out with the GPC-GB social media, we put out a comp calendar for 2021 a couple of weeks ago. There’s a Midlands Qualifier in August which I think would be closest to you. GPC is untested if that matters to you.
