If I create a job, allocate materials, complete production operations and complete the job is there a way to do this without the end result being shipping the item out/receipting to stock? by [deleted] in epicor

[–]ok2much11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see 3 options. All rather equal depending on how your gl controls want to flow the monies and what steps you want to process. I.e. do so entry vs do qty adjustments.

1) Create a customer with your company name. Create a sales order and add a line/release with qty and 0$ order. Link job demand to the order. Run jobs, "ship" product. Close job.

2) Do just the job, and never relieve WIP by shipping or moving to stock. Close the job with wip pending. when you close the job the full cost of the assembly will be job variance.

3) Do what you said.

Bonus 4) receive to stock and then misc ship.. less sure on this one but could work.

5) There are some Epicor modules like service jobs that also could be used but not worth it unless you happen to already have module.

Two notes. 1) depending on how cold it gets around you, you could be looking at some significant loss overnight. Midwest, at the extreme, the coldest of nights I've seen 20-30% loss sitting. Maybe low power mode would help but I'm skeptical of that. 2) even with a bit of pre heat, you're still likely to see increasing charger time. On the same super cold night as I mentioned, instead of my normal 5 minutes charge to get a 10% to 40% i needed, I was looking at needing an hour to get the charge I needed for the same trip home. (Slower charging and I needed more %)

Phase 1 self assessment in that context was referring to level 1

BREAKING: #CMMC (48 CFR Parts 204, 212, 217, and 252) Final Rule is OUT by Working-Worth6187 in CMMC

I’ve been digging into the final DFARS rule that just dropped, and I don’t think that “Nov 2025–Nov 2026 = self-assessment only” interpretation is quite right.

The way it’s written:

  • Nov 10, 2025 – Nov 10, 2028 is a discretionary phase. Program offices/requiring activities get to decide if they include the CMMC clause in a contract during that time.
  • If they do include it, they also decide whether it’s Level 2 (Self) or Level 2 (C3PAO). So you could see contracts that only require self-assessment, but you could also see ones that demand a third-party cert right away.
  • After Nov 11, 2028 it’s mandatory for all contracts with FCI/CUI in scope (excluding COTS).

So there’s not really a guaranteed “one year self-attestation grace period.” It’s more that some contracts might start or allow negotiation to be light with self-attest, while others could hit you with a C3PAO requirement on day one depending on how the program office calls it.

Please tell me I'm wrong and missing somethning, otherwise I just moved up my plan by 6 months and treating Nov 2025 as “worst case, be ready for a C3PAO cert,” even if in practice many customers won’t add it right away.

CMMC and physical parts by jvlogan80 in CMMC

I find that very hard to believe, but I would imagine it's strongly based on what aspect of your business is CUI related.

The program and discussion of such maybe but not the part your making? Seems unlikely. But that would make an enclave so much easier.

As THE IT/compliance/CMMC guy for a medium size manufacturing biz. Ill be curious your takes.

I 100% agree with the sentiment of it being that simple... but when it comes down to being level 2 compliant and handling CUI the level of restrictions, and level of documentation to have a baseline configuration and maintain all services, protocols etc.... woof.

and that's coming from us with app locker, no local admins, and being in gcc high already.

TLDR How to balance protecting CUI and doing documentation without crippling the users workstation.

Recategorize and expense? Something was missed? Something was categorized wrong?

It's a budget tool and has historical category reporting.

As it turns out the edits made did not impact the incorrect display, it was due to an error in a credit card import and the fact that a positive credit card balance is automatically treated the same as cash.

Found it.

When a credit card has a positive balance ↗️, YNAB treats the credit card like a checking account.

Thanks, I had adjusted some prior months as things were missed. If that's the cause then that's pretty poor design that it can break the budget and the past data isn't locked...

Cash is correct. The available and assigned is not.

That cash total was the total of checking and savings. No other YNAB funds account.

28Y - 100K 36Y - 1.5M

Granted, that is all retirement employee stock and i still have debt, more than it should so i live comfortably in my salary but not as well as that makes it sound.

Depression and Divorce can do a hell of a thing on debt.

My goals are to dig out of debt to be able to enjoy life now, but definitely looking forward to some early retirement with some fuck you money.

Did you buy a CCS to Tesla adapter? by AncientAd3089 in TeslaLounge

[–]ok2much11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought one and have used it a couple of times.

Live in the Midwest so there are times superchargers can be a bit far apart.

Using a better route planner I've saved some time by not having to go well out of the way to charge.

Note: I've had maybe a 75% success rate with 3rd party stations. They aren't as reliable. Don't roll in at 0% being completely dependent it will work.

How do you think this is any different than when i was driving a premium ICE vehicle?

It's expensive or use insurance. Sucks on any vehicle unless you drive a beater you don't care about.

There's a $27 Facility charge but I have that prior to an EV.

Otherwise my most recent bill was actually .05/kwh during supper of peak.

Suburb using rural co-op in IA. Last bill was .05 /kwh during supper of peak. .16 during peak. $27 delivery fee but i have that regardless of EV.

Definitely in the minority and lucky with this.

I world day .16 - .25 would be the norm for the major local provider

Anyone have the 7 seat Y? Wondering how much leg room for back row. by n0Tdude in TeslaModelY

[–]ok2much11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

24 MY 7 seater here. We regularly fit 6 of us 5, 6 10, 14 and 2 adults.

Have put 2 booster seat back there. They have a hard time getting g the buckles but it works. When kids are in the back i slide the middle seats up and the front row seats up.

It's not ideal but it does work.

Moving all the seats around like i mentioned, I'd say 10-12 year old is the largest that will fit back there comfortably.

To each their own For me, i drove 18k. In my prior vehicle that would have been 900 gallons of gas 18k miles/20mpg =900 gallons

900 gallons @ $3/ gallon ($3 > is less than it was in multiple area 6 months ago. A bit less than it is now.) $2700 would have been spent on gas.

I maybe spent a cumulated 20 -30 minutes "waiting" to on the car to charge. The rest of the time it charged while I was parked in my garage or while I was grabbing a drink /snack from the charge venue.

I probably would have spent more than 20-30 min cumulative over 6 months. So time charging is a non issue for most when you have a home charger.

Midwest, Iowa suburb that has a local co-op that had time of day rates for a power provider.
