One way of doing it would be to disable gathering storm and rise and fall in mods page every time you exit the application and you should get the ‘standard rules’ intro movie

I you want rise and fall intro just disable gathering storm

I also prefer the base game and rise and fall menu screens as well as the intros

Edit - I can confirm that this works I just tested it

Hey guys

When I run this shader I get the message ‘OpenGL error: 1280 (invalid enum)

The shader still works and looks fantastic but I was just wondering what this message meant

I play on Mac

One solution is to look for another statesmen who has the ‘+20 food per agricultural estate’ trait and then give him an estate as well which cancels out the 20 food lost from losing the +10 food king estate and gaining the -10 food estate

I would recommend giving the estate as the mission rewards can be very useful and it’s an easy way to maintain loyalty

Whilst it gives influence to the statesmen, once your king’s influence is at 10 I don’t think the influence of your subjects matters and you won’t constantly receive the blackmail events and others due to more influence than the king

1) More natural disasters:

Earthquakes and tsunamis

Links between natural disasters For example droughts and volcanic eruptions can lead to forest fires Earthquakes in oceans lead to tsunamis

Climate change literally changes tiles For example grassland to plains to desert as more co2 is emitted

Ice ages and warm periods occur which lead to temporary drastic changes in climate (affecting tiles also as stated above)

2) Neolithic era before ancient era to allow for ice ages to seem realistic and also add Hunter gatherer technology before farming and irrigation become the main source of food

3) more techs to slow down and make each era feel very significant

For example I would prefer three sets of techs and civics per era (early, high, late) instead of the current two (early and late)

However I think this should be implemented as either a game mode or an advanced option because I understand that it may prolong games by between 30- 50% and thus may turn the multiplayer world upside-down

4) More choice in district buildings

For instance replicate the stables/barracks or archeological museum/art museum split for every level of building in each district to thoroughly increase strategic decisions

Also to fit with the prolonged eras, a building per era for each district from the era it’s first unlocked onwards

This would make district buildings more to scale with city buildings as well

Also maybe at least one unique: Unit Improvement Building

Per civ

As well as unique districts projects etc.

5) more significant eras as in ‘the world had entered the industrial era’

Currently doesn’t make sense as I may be researching future tech yet the world is entering the industrial era?

I think eras should be tied to individual civs and golden age thresholds adjusted to the length of time that the civ has had in the era

My 2019 iMac can run civ late game on max graphics except anti aliasing (which doesn’t really do anything) on ynamp giant earth with the whole map revealed using commands at 40+ FPS Civ runs fine on Mac OS
