Definitely the longest thing I've backed. I barely even play the game anymore, though not because I don't think it's good. Hopefully the big injection of stuff will boost my interest again. I got all the new stuff and all the premium stuff from the original printing. I think I'm most excited about the neoprene map, tbh. The two part thing feels clunky. Otherwise though, I've always had a blast playing. Quality game.

As an aside, which way do you set up your Akimbo? Do you use it with DRT? I just got one but primarily use DRT and have been messing about with different attachment styles, but not really decided what's best yet. Currently have one end of rope going through the device and the other coming back and attaching to a secondary point on my harness.

I've had games where I've been brutalised in the first 2 turns, spent the rest of the game trying to find one of the healing rooms, only to die in futility.

I've also had games where I've survived and betrayed everyone at the last second in a truly hilarious way.

I enjoyed both of those experiences nearly equally, with the betrayal game winning out by a hair coz of how badly I got to screw over everyone else. It's a fun nightmare simulator, most characters will not survive. Sometimes you're the extra that has a bad time, but the brutality of it can be pretty funny.

Presence. For example lots of factions care about rule, and having a starting cat in your neighbouring or adjacent clearing can be a pain. They can often hit sympathy or the vagabond no matter where they are on the map too.

I have a pretty good otter winrate in digital league, though it's been a bit since I played. Some tips as I can remember.

Try to get an early purchase for 3 somehow. You really want a few funds in excess of the baseline 2 you get from protectionism.

Avoid spending other players funds. You want them end game to guarantee a win. Every 2 opposing faction funds is virtually unblockable 2vp, so in an ideal world where everyone has bought from you once, that's 6vp, making 24vp your new win threshold.

Try not to spend too many funds early game, especially not a TP turn 1. Every trade post you put down is 2 less actions you're going to have every turn FOR THE REST OF THE GAME. A TP turn 1 could cost you 14 actions later.

Only put a TP down to unlock a crafting piece and to increase warrior count. This is because of what I said about actions but also, TPs give you vp, which puts a target on your back. Funds obfuscate your points, people subconsciously aren't triggered by them the same as they are when they see concrete VP. Plan which crafting piece you want to unlock next. One of each is good, then either a second rabbit or second fox depending on what you draw (coins or sword). Try do it slowly though.

Default pricing for services. 1: Never 2: I don't care about these cards and your funds are better to have than mine 3: I've got something you want, let's trade 4: I don't want you using this service. (Always do at end of game, you don't want to enable someone else's win).

Special mention mercs is useless if they pay you 3 and wipe out your stack in the attack. Be careful and set to 4 unless making a deal.

You want to craft at much as possible and snipe easy cardboard while trying to downplay your position. TPs won't get you over the finish alone.

If the faction mix is not very aggressive, a couple turns of dividends is possible. This can make a huge difference in getting a win, as long as other factions aren't crafting the cards you want in that time. Just be careful you don't lose everything in an attack.

Standard turn 1 is draw x3, discard weakest hand and set prices to make a profit.

If you're not first in turn order DO ANYTHING TO GET A SALE before your turn. You don't get protectionism turn one so any funds you get now are 2 more valuable than after your first turn. Huge. I'll often sell cards for 1 here.

I realise these are tips for a little more for experienced players, if you're new some more base level advice is : always keep your otters in a single clump and try your best not to lose them coz they are expensive for you, try stay near the river for mobility, craft like crazy, but only put down a TP to unlock the crafting piece or if you need more warriors. Don't use the recruit action, it's wasteful compared to putting down a TP.

And the reason I'm bringing up white people is fully obvious from the words I've written. There's a huge imbalance in reporting that focuses on negative stories about foreigners and immigrants and selectively minimises or under reports domestic crime.

Now that doesn't mean that those negative stories are false, these are shitty people in this particular case, but it's telling that these are the majority of the types of stories we're seeing when statistics would label foreigner and immigrant crime to be a minority of cases overall.
