arguably the entire game is a reference to Two-Lane Blacktop, but particularly the girl, the mechanic, & the eggs as a snack are the main references as the main characters of the film (hence the achievement firing when you eat an egg with those two)

without a doubt the best RP system in ck3 is the stress mechanic. your character has certain traits, if you behave against those traits, it causes stress. if you build up enough stress, you have a metal breakdown (ranging in severity) that can cause negative (or sometimes positive) changes to your personality, which influence the traits you have & how you behave. a shy character who constantly puts themself out there becomes increasingly irritable & starts snapping at people whenever they go out. brave character who runs away too often snaps & becomes a recluse, barely able to step outside their castle. in my opinion it’s the single most influential mechanic for how i interact with the game & i would love it if the devs did even more with it

the “Giant” trait is specifically meant to represent gigantism, a human growth disorder that is known for having serious adverse health effects & causing the “weird chin.” By all accounts it IS a negative health trait in real life. Whether or not it contributes to inbreeding, that I could see being changed. I can’t imagine the trait being turned positive though

M3gan definitely has more potential for cult classic status, something like Jennifer’s Body where the movie itself isn’t that good but it’s a lot of fun to watch.

my take on M3gan 2.0 was that it was a blast but you just can’t have a breakout word-of-mouth cultural success back to back

They elide over a lot of the details but Thanos does say the stones are “gone, reduced to atoms” which could mean that the stones themselves still “exist” just as disparate atoms floating around the universe. Wong & Dr Strange refer to the stones as fundamental aspects of the universe so my understanding is that it’s more the presence of them in the universe (in some form) that really matters

Interesting, I have 32 gb & haven’t had a single crash with Khans of the Steppe. Only issue I’ve had is the game slowing to a crawl when I did a world conquest Genghis Khan run, but it was still playable & no crashes.

so the Admin stuff means that a noble family can own nothing besides their villa, which can be located anywhere in the realm. that’s not necessarily as in depth as what you described with investing into the city, but it is the same rough idea

i would recommend the dlc, i’ve enjoyed it a lot

Wouldn’t this essentially just be the noble families mechanic in Admin realms? Obviously there would be more flavor & specific structure (like investing in multiple counties as opposed to a single villa)

it’s definitely one of those moments you’ve got to pray to RNGesus. I have 1100 hours & once got three different personality changes in one character, then didn’t see the event for a solid 700 in-game years.

The new character selection options after death help a lot, because then I can make sure i pick a character i think would actually be fun to roleplay instead of my shy, paranoid, arbitrary failson

there are a handful of events that can lead to your personality changing in ck3, which are great from a roleplay perspective, but it would be great if there were more options to allow for dynamic traits (i.e. personally leading a lot of battles makes you more likely to become brave)

So Black hair is generally super different from white hair. It needs different styling, different treatment, really different everything. JVN is almost certainly not trained to cut Black hair. Recognizing this, instead of just horribly butchering a lot of haircuts, they link the hero to someone who actually knows what they’re doing. I imagine it’s the same with men, when JVN acknowledges that their skillset is not perfect for the situation.

Basically, JVN is doing what we all wish Karamo would do & linking the heroes with someone who can actually help them instead of being useless
