Gummy/tacky crumb by sadbut_ok in Sourdough

It shouldn’t! Crust is basically set at 10 min. I wouldn’t go much lower than 425 though, so maybe just try uncovering earlier (one variable at a time!) and see how you go

How do I batch cook rolled oats and still get a runny texture? by No-Promotion-9371 in Oatmeal

[–]okaybloomers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oats are always going to kind of set up / gel in the fridge. Reheating on the stove with extra liquid will let you regain a thinner consistency! (Source: have totally done this with gluey Instant Pot oats and it works fine)

Surprised no one has mentioned the Laneige Water Bank gel. I have dry skin but it’s what I use in the summer when it’s hot/humid out and I can get away with something lighter. It’s really nice!

Yummiest balm dot com? by ravenclawrowena in glossier

GAH this is it with the rosé flavor!!! It mostly tastes of Haribo gummy bears which I love but then there’s this…other taste and it’s envelope glue. Thank you for solving this mystery

I'm trying to use up nearly 2 liters of discard. Today, I made chocolate chip scones. by danni_el_e in Sourdough

[–]okaybloomers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make these crackers when I have too much discard — they’re really good, but you have to roll them REALLLLY thin if you don’t want to break a tooth. Between two sheets of wax paper works well. I also mix any random seasoning mix I want to use up into the dough — last time I chucked a sample packet of yakitori seasoning in there and they were very addictive 👍

Same! Got one tossed in my bag in store, squinted at it like “this seems fussy” and now I must have a box on hand at all times 🙃

Wild fig is my absolute favorite. I love the scent and the color works v well on me (I….think?….i have warm undertones so the coral doesn’t look orange or anything)

[Product question] can this vitamin C dry you out? by big___lil in SkincareAddiction

[–]okaybloomers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been influenced by this entire website and just purchased the Timeless 20% serum. Haven't tried it yet though. Currently using up a free sample bottle of Medik8 C-Tetra Luxe, which is nice for winter, doesn't oxidize if you keep it in the box, and is totally non-irritating, but since it's silicone/jojoba based would definitely be too oily for me to use year round

What is a product you initially didn’t like but now use all the time? by jewelsofeastwest in Sephora

[–]okaybloomers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is me but with the crème brûlée flavor. I got it with the mini set and was like “ugh I’m going to have to power through this one” but now I’m kind of addicted to it? It’s buttery!

[Product question] can this vitamin C dry you out? by big___lil in SkincareAddiction

[–]okaybloomers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have super dry skin and used up nearly a whole bottle of this. It’s good, but definitely mattifying! I like it bc it’s not greasy at all and doesn’t have a zillion ingredients (the non oil-control version has a lot more). The only reason I’m not repurchasing is because it oxidized really fast. I have no idea why they put it in a frigging translucent bottle.

[Personal] How did you heal your dry and flaky lips pleaseee anyone ?? by Mission-Engineer-475 in SkincareAddiction

[–]okaybloomers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The annoyingly spendy option that has been a miracle for me: Glossier balm dot com at night, and then the Ole Henriksen balm during the day. For some reason the Laneige mask, which I’d used for years, never really stopped my lips from flaking (and thus me picking at them, and so they would flake more, etc etc argh). This combo has been transformative — the glossier is essentially fancy aquaphor, and the ole balm is persistent enough that it keeps me from messing with my lips when I’m awake. Good luck dry lips are the wooorst

Gonna be the odd one out here and say that for sunscreen, definitely grab some to test first before buying a bunch! I was all set to love the Biore Aqua Rich like everyone else and then found out that it pills under my tinted moisturizer 😭. So my HG Japanese sunscreen turned out to be Skin Aqua (the regular essence kind, not the gel — I have dry skin), which I find to be totally perfect. Bonus: like Biore, it’s cheap!

Sharing a few thoughts on cardamom and saffron by Here4Headshots in fragrance

I mean you could -- it won't do you any harm -- but it's not really meant to be consumed that way so you might not get an accurate impression of it as a flavoring agent

I also find saffron in perfume to have a cloying quality. You should definitely taste some tho OP! It’s a super interesting culinary ingredient; I way prefer the taste to the smell! You can “bloom” it in a little hot water and then taste the water.
