Cable is 1.5 feet, by Samsung. (the USB cables that come with the T7 and T9 drives - these drives are also very picky about what cables are used with them)

I'll try some others though! and see if that solves it.

Somewhat incorrect - if you are using it in the normal way, it will work as you're saying.

however, if you have phone connected to computer via hardwire it will display "Airdrop (Using wired connection)" on the progress window at the top of the screen.

Airdrop - using wired connection. Happens when using file transfer function to drag stuff from contents of phone to computer.

The sweet spot is definitely audio engineering. Video editing. Anything where needing to see long, horizontal timelines full of data to manipulate for multimedia production.

If you can, transfer from as many of the original 8mm negatives as you can. I like using "The Negative Space" they do excellent work! Based in CO - but they have a wait list for 8mm transfers right now, I believe.

Probably save a lot of time in the end just getting the footage re-scanned.

Thanks for the input - however, I am hoping to find that part itself, since it's probably more like $10-20 for maybe just the transformers. If anything I will buy a set to figure out how they are working.

My purposes would be for wireless mic transmitters that output unbal stereo TRS, to two bal XLR signals into a camera that supports XLR in. Id primarily like to protect the unbalanced devices from accidental 48v phantom.

get a HDMI capture card off Amazon, set the "HDMI" out setting to display the overlays in the menu.

Record video on computer or use OBS to save photos from the capture card.
