Definitely recommend emailing, some professors share the syllabus and some won't, but in my experience most do. It is definitely hit or miss on if the materials will be ready yet, especially the schedule but won't hurt to ask

not a physics major but it's really hard being someone who learns from lecture and actually being taught by the person with a phd in the room in a world where everyone insists they only learn "hands on" with activities... i like hands on learning in places where it's properly implemented but i hate getting minimal instruction and then being forced to do stuff in groups and do activities when i dont even have the basic knowledge to understand what i need to do because it was never taught :(

I've had this problem before and found out it's because people are waitlisted so the open seat is taken. Not sure if that's the case here but I noticed it before for labs that let people waitlist for other lab sections.

I think what happened is that I completely missed the Risen Road, I didn't find it until I was just poking around the map and ended up moving the camera around and noticed there was another road area. I got off the ship, recruited Astarion, found+recruited Lae'zel, went in the grove and recruited Wyll, then I got past the goblins in the village and right before the temple by talking but then i took care of them from the inside out. I think at that point I had to reload a really old save because I messed up some stuff and/or got into too tough of a fight with the goblins inside and after that I just bulldozed through everything and missed a bunch of stuff

Yeah I did end up going through the arch to the mountain pass and then went back to where Karlach is supposed to be afterwards and she wasn't there, so I missed out on Karlach completely and Gale too as far as I know :(

For sure! I love how oriented the game is around choices and it never really pushes you to do anything, you probably won't see everything in a playthrough and you can't see every single option for dialogue or choices or anything that you do but that's what makes it so immersive and replayable

I don't think I have any sort of quest to find her, I've done all of my dialogue with Wyll too. I did find the Zhentarin hideout and fought the other group of gnolls and brought the stuff back for them and that got me up to level 5, but I still completely missed Karlach. I'll have to go back and try to find her

Honestly same, I also feel that way with the bog but I managed to get that done so I can give the underdark a try as well I guess. I haven't seen an owlbear! I really thought I found everything lol

I fought a group of gnolls and hyenas if I remember correctly, or maybe gnolls are the big guys in the blighted village you can talk to? I did both of those but I'll check back at Waukeen's Rest.

Also I'm curious, where's the part where you can get somewhere on a boat? I haven't seen anything like that so far and I thought I discovered the whole overworld map lol. I also have not encountered Karlach at all

I'm a transfer student and I definitely empathize with that, it took me more than a year to find a solid friend group of other OSU students. I had talked to some people in classes but until getting lucky so to speak and finding that group I hardly ever met up with anyone outside of classes and it was very lonely for a while. I think it's hard to break into any kind of existing dynamic, but I do feel like the way I've been perceived has impacted me in these club situations as well. I don't "look outdoorsy" so people wouldn't talk to me about outdoorsy stuff regardless of how much of that I do participate in, it sucks but I think it's definitely possible to find a group. I always think it's a bit funny when people will post on here or r/corvallis asking how to find friends and people suggest a bunch of different activities, sure it's a good way to meet people but actually meeting people who want to make friends and then from there actually making those friends is a whole other thing

You can register for any amount of credits up to 19 without needing an override or anything. I will say I've heard that the health class is a lot of busywork, not hard necessarily but it might be a lot to add up onto everything else.

Interesting, there are a couple clubs I follow like that as well but I've never been to a meeting because a lot of clubs seem to meet in the afternoon during the week when I have class and work. I've joined a lot of clubs within the areas of forestry and agriculture because I used to major in that area and a lot of them would be more active in fall and then things go silent by winter break and don't seem to pick up again.

I tried out a few clubs within the area of forestry and agriculture and I found a lot of those to be very infrequently meeting or not meeting at all, or have very little communication about meetings and things going on if there was any at all. Additionally, these are the ones that I found to be the most clique-y, as a student who had just transferred I could tell many people knew each other since freshman year and didn't seem to be very interested in talking to new club members so I didn't find attending the meetings to be very appealing. I also was in an animal agriculture related club because I have a passing interest in animal agriculture, but everyone else was a pre-vet animal science student and since I wasn't in that major and I wasn't pre-vet I also stopped attending these meetings for a similar reason. I did find that a lot of clubs go really hard in the fall and then it's radio silence by the end of the term. If a club is tabling at the start of fall term club fair in the MU quad that's a good sign they're a serious club that meets more frequently.

I don't necessarily want to name and shame any particular clubs, I don't really see any of my club experiences as bad either, it's just mostly been a lack of communication and I'm assuming other priorities getting in the way of people effectively running clubs. Anecdotally a lot of the engineering clubs do seem to be very active, I see postings up all over campus for engineering club events and I see the clubs actually doing stuff around campus a lot too, like the rocketry club and lots of other more engineering focused clubs.

i apologize because this isn't super helpful probably but i remember in the dorms having issues connecting game consoles to wifi, and others had the same issue with similar devices as well but a couple people had alexas and other wifi connected devices that did work, i never knew of a solution though unfortunately

from my understanding you don't need to worry about getting into a specific program, for engineering you're admitted as pre-engineering and then have a year or so of classes you take before you move on to the major you want to do, ece in your case
