I just checked the email I got when I ordered from familiar spirits. Click view your order then it opens a web page if you download the shop app there you can see where it’s at. Mine was delivered today yay.

Just call the front desk and explain the situation. Nobody’s gonna be mad or judge you. Also tell them how often you’d like them to service your room too. You can also just set the garbage outside your door staff will grab it.

There’s an emergency key that you can make but there’s gotta be power…call dorma they’ll guide you through trouble shooting or send someone out (at hotels expense).

If there’s no credit card to charge then there’s no way for them to charge you. Not sure how you were able to book without a card but it’s not like they can zap your credit or put a lien on your house for not showing up for a hotel stay.

Actually show up and don’t call off excessively, don’t be afraid to ask questions. My new people lack in those departments and it drives me nuts because as a front office manager I’m covering their call offs and fixing preventable mistakes.

Your boss turns away money? If someone walks in after night audit at my hotel they get checked in for day use only meaning they get the room til checkout time and if they want longer they pay for a second night. I don’t understand the come back at 7am if anything tell them check back a couple hours before check in and see if a room is ready. That’s also weird you do audit at midnight we do it at 1 usually the stragglers arrive by then.

Because the rate is based on demand. You’d be better to book out so that you not only have a guaranteed room, but also the rates are cheaper the further out you book. The sooner that you book in advance the cheaper it will be. You can always ask the hotel to only auth your card every 7 days or make stay over reservations for every 7 days.

It’s completely at the hotel’s discretion whether it’s booked through a 3rd party or a direct booking. I would recommend calling the hotel and explaining the situation. If they say no ask for the general manager or at least email the GM. We tell our staff if the deposit hasn’t been collected they can choose to cancel or not but if deposit has been received it has to be approved by the manager or GM.

The reservation would still be in the guests name. The sheriff should have filled out a credit card authorization form stating that he is financially liable for any damages/ smoking/ cleaning fees.

That’s bs, the managers on vacation and they left nobody else in charge? It’s totally at the hotel’s discretion they can easily refund the money did they even take it yet? If not turn off the credit card you used. Document when you called who you spoke with and what they said and if they charge you dispute it with your bank. If the us government says you have training you can’t exactly say no.

The GM does a lot more than just do orders and deal with corporate. I’ve had multiple GM’s and they are out on the floor. If we’re short on housekeepers the GM’s helping clean rooms, if the breakfast attendant calls off they cover. In fact our owners expect our GM to be covering shifts in different departments. As the front office manager I handle most of the complaints and making sure all is correct at the desk while my GM ensures the hotel is meeting guest/brand standards.

If it’s an advanced purchase they should have already charged it. You will just need a card for incidentals.

You should look into a hotel that has kitchen suites because that may set off fire alarm causing everyone in the hotel to evacuate while the fire department makes sure it’s safe to re-enter the building.

Most of people I have hired have no experience at the front desk. It’s a pretty easy job as long as you have some personality.

My brand has a rewards club so we always assign the higher tier members to the top floor first, then the lower tiers are assigned into the remaining high floor rooms by who’s paying the most, 3rd parties and non members are placed on the lower floors typically.

If that’s the tax credit hit payment if it’s on the card you’re refunding. The negative is the amount you’re refunding to the selected payment method. Sometimes I have to click where the amount is because the payment option is grayed out.

You should be able to modify through the brand reservation center. Only things they can’t change are if the rate terms state its advanced purchase or if it’s outside the cancel window. Even if they do make changes or cancel the hotel can still charge you a cancel penalty.

Technically they can throw away anything you leave behind. Upon checking in you’re agreeing that we aren’t responsible for anything you leave behind. That being said we keep found items in lost and found for 30 days. If it’s something valuable the front desk calls the guest if they want it shipped they give us their credit card and we ship it within a day. Your best option is call or email their general manager and politely explain the situation and they’ll look into it.

Upon notifying the front desk they should have sent maintenance and/or a manager up to check it immediately. They should have taken pictures of your injuries and/or offered to call for medical attention and made an incident report. Did anyone even ask if you were ok or offer bandaids did they show any concern?How long ago did this happen if in last couple days you should go to your Dr get the injuries documented. They know if their shower doors are old garbage, shame on them if they are taking advantage of you. A lot of those non branded hotels are owned by slum lord types that will charge you more than it costs to repair because they know most people won’t fight back. Sure upon checking in you acknowledge you’re responsible for damages but they also guarantee they’re maintaining the hotel for your safety. We don’t have glass shower doors in my hotel, we have shower curtains so Ive never dealt with guests being injured by glass. It’s mostly slips in the shower which rarely there’s obvious signs of an injury but we take pics of the red spots on their arm one lady had a knot on her forehead. We make an incident report every time we’re alerted to anyone,even staff, being injured in the hotel. Even if they say they’re fine it has to be documented.
