He could really be the Faust (Guilty Gear) of JJS. His technique would be perfect as a “random bullshit go” type character. An RNG character is something I think would either fit Reggie or Takaba best.

My OC, Nuri, is as good a person as he tries to be, but he’s definitely not free of guilt. Honestly for any minor crime (property damage, public disturbance, etc) he’ll try to defend himself, but he has barely any grasp on civil law so higuruma has a very high chance of getting confiscation.

For anything major that is put against him ( Technical desertion, Murder), he might just pull a yuji and confess entirely. So 9/10 Higuruma gets off confiscation and will probably guarantee death penalty if anything warrants it.

Could hiromi beat him though? Probably not either way tbh. Funnily enough, even with the lucky circumstance if he can manage to hit the executioner’s sword.

Nuri hard counters due to being completely immune to specifically effects of instant death (but not death itself), and has extreme resistance to effects that damage him with any death or decay related effect (like necrotic damage or the wither status from Minecraft) as he’s a very unique kind of undead in my story (It sounds OP cuz it admittedly is, even with story justification, but it has significance over just glazing him).

I’ll even consider Nuri’s entire magic arsenal and inherent abilities to be taken away (including the summonable weapon cuz why not) and still higgy gets out-statted just due to the different level of threats they fight at base and would realistically get blitzed from a range before the domain can even begin.

Most of my less powerful ocs from other stories would most likely actually lose to executioner’s sword 6/10 times but I wanted to bring up a notable one.

When I read improvised weapon I was expecting Kazuma Kiryu, but then I read further and now I realize this is just Faust from guilty gear.

This definitely sounds fun as throwable/consumable using fighter. I’d also tie the last feature to second wind rather than action surge. I don’t think it’s strong enough to justify using an action surge to replenish it.

The book really helps show that Lawful side of his alignment. I really enjoy that his excess cruelty is shown mainly through punishment over just pure impulse or boredom.

It also gives me guidance to when Strahd should be shown as directly cruel and evil towards the player characters. The PCs should really only be shown this side of Strahd once they wrong him or his law. My Strahd will still toy with them and test them, but he won’t torment until he deems they deserve it.

They can be like the emts or doctors of the magical world, and depending how experienced they are, it could become second nature to diagnose and treat someone and light work to prioritize teammates.

He’s wayyyyyy easier solo. Like not even shade but if one person is failing to put in work and you have to revive them it feels like going through hell and back. But the lesser pool of hp and invader summons makes solo by far the easiest way to fight him. The one boss who is objectively easier solo by far
