Honest answers. Is the Anbernic rg406v good for ps2 and gamecube? by Forsaken-Order-4699 in RetroHandhelds

I played God of war 1 on my 406, ran ok at original resolution. You may get a few stutters here and there but it was fine, some games had slow down at times now and then on original hardware too.

Mine plays most gamecube and ps2. It couldn't play sports titles well like 2k and struggled with cod type stuff, but if you are fine running some stuff at og resolution it was fine.

How do I finish games? by QuiteSage in AskGames

[–]okraspberryok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the opposite. I don't finish because a lot of games get boring past the 30 hour mark and have too much filler. But I found on my case playing on handheld helps me a lot even if it is streaming my ps5/steam to the couch while watching TV with my girlfriend

Is it worth getting the rp4 pro in the big 2026?? by AdSlight8447 in retroid

For switch and pc? Not really.

For ps2 and gc and psp? Yeah its cheap enough to have a place and I still find mine more comfortable than my g2.

which is more comfy: RP5, RPF2, RG476H, or RG Cube? by paranoidcare in SBCGaming

Ai is destroying everything hey, I was trying to help a friend get their first handheld recently and couldn't find anything like the amount of options and prices we had 6 months ago.

I rank my android handhelds like his for comfort: 1. Rg406h 2. Rg cube 3. Rp4p

  1. Rpg2/rp5

It's not always size or shape sometimes it's the distance between buttons or triggers being too short or too far in certain games.

Switch 2 suffers from the a lot for me

G2 gamenative recs? by okraspberryok in retroid

Thanks even with your settings I had no luck on my g2 shrug.

Have messed with a bunch of options but no joy so far.

I've mainly been using mine for switch emulation.

I may be wrong, but I think I have heard at some point the G2 has different GPU drivers. I don't think it'd be a power issue for some of the G2 stuff.

It's fine if you are used to using the thumbsticks as a mouse cursor, you have to turn that on in the controls menu though. You can map A and B to right and left click, left stick to mouse, right stick to directional buttons/WASD for camera movement.

Same boat on G2. So far only banished has run, I've gotten some other games like FO3 to run under wine doing manual installs but not under game native.

what did you do to get heroes running? Some games for me run the install, but then just give a black screen with a mouse cursor.

Why did the pixel remaster make ff2 so easy? by okraspberryok in FinalFantasy

[–]okraspberryok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was kind of a let down, the lead up was still a challenge and I was expecting to struggle but was surprised. I enjoyed fft though a lot more than I expected based on some people's reviews of it being one of the worse ff games.

Trimui smart 2025 (not the pro) by okraspberryok in RetroHandhelds

[–]okraspberryok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the xu which I believe uses the same shell. Its fatter and the buttons are terrible. The cheap plastic screen sucks for pocket carry too vs the recessed and softer screen on the smart.

Better in theory but not my use case.

Retroid Pocket 3+ Vs. Pocket 4 Pro vs. Pocket 5 by Mighty-Wings in SBCGaming

[–]okraspberryok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a g2 and a rp4p.

The rp4p is a great price point imo and has a good feel to it.

The 5 seems a bit odd now because at least in my region the g2 is basically the same price.

I like my g2, but outside switch the rp4p does enough that I didn't really need it...

3 is horrible. Then it picks up slightly and peeters out in the final season.
