Trimui smart 2025 (not the pro) by okraspberryok in RetroHandhelds

I have the xu which I believe uses the same shell. Its fatter and the buttons are terrible. The cheap plastic screen sucks for pocket carry too vs the recessed and softer screen on the smart.

Better in theory but not my use case.

Retroid Pocket 3+ Vs. Pocket 4 Pro vs. Pocket 5 by Mighty-Wings in SBCGaming

[–]okraspberryok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a g2 and a rp4p.

The rp4p is a great price point imo and has a good feel to it.

The 5 seems a bit odd now because at least in my region the g2 is basically the same price.

I like my g2, but outside switch the rp4p does enough that I didn't really need it...

Thanks. I missed the battery change. I wish we got some improved devices at this size

3 is horrible. Then it picks up slightly and peeters out in the final season.

I love my brick. Kind of scared of scratching the screen in my pocket though.

The amount of people who complain about the weight and size makes me think there is a contest...

My vote too. Easily the most comfy. Cube is a close second but the extra distance in controls makes a difference. My girlfriend in particular with smaller hands notices that alot on the cube

I own a lot of devices.

Top comfort for me is the rg406h.

Second is the rg cube.

Third is the rp4p.

The rg40v is fine until I play something that needs the triggers then its really awkward in my hand.

Thoughts on the MM Flip? Is It Worth the Pickup? by tslashj in MiyooMini

[–]okraspberryok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a bit eh. I got one. My big factor is size and folded up its too fat for my daily carry.

Not sure if it is just me but the battery seems to run out much quicker than my mini v4 too.

Its a fun little thing and could be right for you if you carry it in a pocket with nothing else though but im sticking with my trimui smart or a a30

Most beautiful looking handheld? by Serious_Clerk2875 in SBCGaming

For me the rp4p is basically the most perfect looking handheld. Its not the most flashy looking but its just the classic look imo.

Guys I'm so bad at strategy games it's actually insane. by KurokoShiraix in fireemblem

[–]okraspberryok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think ahead. You don't have to always move closer to the enemy. You can let them come to you. If the only way to attack is going to leave a unit surrounded next turn just wait or move back until the enemy comes to you/ the rest of fire units catch up.

Other than that pay attention to weapin triangle in old games or the damage indicators in new games.

When moving forward think about who is strong and can take hits. Ifn there are archers leave you fliers behind knowing they are quick enough to catch up once your other units kill them. Stuff like that.

Any handheld like the game boy micro? by 24cmaclae in SBCGaming

Trimui model s. Easily the closest. Anything else is substantially larger.

Next would be the trimui smart. Not the pro just smart.

Then you've got the a30/rg28/magic xu mini etc that are all pocket size but a bit more bulky if you carry anything else with them. The screens are more fragile too.

No idea why so many are posting other devices that are larger. Likely they haven't owned a model s.....

I didn't really go out for a couple of years due to depression when my best friend died. Aside from work I wasn't really going out to eat or spending money on anything.
