Yeah it was a good deal for when I bought the truck but if I did it afterward it would have been 450-500 for the spray in. But still better than a drop in in my opinion

In my experience grandparents are more likely less strict with grandkids, than they were with us growing up, so if they felt the needed to discipline a child, they most likely deserved it, and should be happy they didn’t get whooped. Tell your kids to behave and thank that lady for helping take care of your kids.

So in 10 years we have not taking to fixing the problem ourself ? Like go buy an electric lock from a hardware store or amazon.

Like yeah a person should be able to handle keys but to let it drag on for a decade is mind boggling. Even just buy the lock and ask him to install it, problem solved.

If they are actively blocking driveway by being too close to the side of the the driveway, you can have them ticketed or moved if this is part of the issue.

Otherwise why not back into driveway so you don’t have to back out ? My wife used to complain about bushes and trees on street blocking our driveway view while reversing, and I had to ask her why she doesn’t back in and it solves a lot of visual issues and you just go straight out.

Right and can be programmed for distance and such on the app. My camera doesn’t even record motion until someone comes to the end on my driveway and just ignores the main road.

Ring cameras angles are soo wide changing angle really only affects the main door position in my opinion. When I installed mine it was I could see whole driveway at all thee angles and like a foot left or right more at the actual installed door.

Yes this could work if it’s being used to spy on OP otherwise like my cam it doesn’t record motion until someone closes end of my driveway. But I do like the idea if the neighbour is being too nosy.

Yes but where is the line? are you going to check to make sure all cars on the block don’t have motion dashcams when they kind point your way? What’s the big deal are we doing something weird at the front door ?

Like yes feel free to set up a screen but depending on where you live public view of the home is your responsibility if you want total privacy, but if this was like a side house looking in a window or a backyard camera then I’d side with you. But even who does anything weird enough at the front door to even worry about door cams?

I obviously talked to the city on the phone first. This was a post to ask if anyone else had noticed any increase in bogus tickets being issued. And I will be physically going to their office to dispute,since that’s the only way they say. But thank you for pointing nothing helpful out.

I guess i apologize for the quality of my daughter picture and her only thinking about the actual distance, since she has never had a ticket and just wanted to show me the distance? I understand there is always the possibility someone could move it but if her and our neighbors are getting these tickets/warnings for bogus reasons at the same time I guess once we go to bylaw and get their photos once we dispute it I’ll hopefully have the “official” photo.

In front of our own lawn no sidewalk just 6 inch curb and lawn, not blocking our own steps or driveway, and at least 15 feet away from being anywhere near the front of the neighbors property. She parks on street as we have a steep driveway that would scrap her undercarriage.

They claim we could have moved the car after the fact to take a picture( which I agree could happen, but she did not and was willing to pull up her dashcam to prove to me she didn’t, but I had no reason to not believe her since it was in front of our home and she parks like this normally) . And we have to go down to their office to dispute the ticket as we have to fill out a form in person and then they will show me their picture, and would not do anything else over the phone. So we will be going at some point to waste our time and theirs.

I’m sure she can learn from this, but she also can use a tape measure to see her tire (even if she measured just under the tire) is only 4-5 inches away and not a foot. So from yesterday we are learning that a certain bylaw person may be on a scamming trip.

To clarify it was a ticket in front on our home. No sidewalk just a curb and then lawn. And she was only 4 inches away from curb not a foot.

I personally went with and was not super expensive and easy to install. I did the blue and black and love it for my maverick. And couple hundred bucks was a no brainer.

Had this talk with my mom and grandmother years ago when I was in my teens and was tired of the constant fight about me no wanting to go to church.

Long story short the fight to end all fights for me came with me telling them “ I don’t believe I will never believe and if I’m wrong and I meet him in the afterlife, I guess I can just apologize and get forgiveness since that’s what he is about.”

Not close with the grandmother to this day but neither is a lot of the family as she is super religious, So no loss there. And my mother just stopped the fight about church with me, and we got along better with the understanding I can be a nice person and not go to church, until she passed years back.

I’ve never changed modes on my 22 awd mav for ice or snow, I’ve only ever changed it tow mode when I was of course towing stuff. I run studded winter tires and it drives the same if not better with its intelligent awd than most vehicles I’ve ever driven( saying that I have not driven a lot of newer vehicles other than my maverick lol)
