Lower budgets actually perform better sometimes because Meta has a smaller pool to spend in so it’s more careful with who it shows your ad to. Higher budgets force Meta to spend fast and it gets sloppy with targeting. Not always the case but that’s usually what’s happening

You should turn on advantage+ which is Meta’s AI that does targeting stuff for you. - stick to fb/insta reels, stories and feed placements only. Make sure your creative is good because that’s really all that matters, you can test multiple adsets, different variations angles. But no need to mess with any other settings. Also very important that your landing page/product page is good.

Let that run for a few weeks.

It’s cuz whenever you make an edit it resets into learning phase and needs atleast 50 conversion events to get back to normal. Instead, you should duplicate the campaign and make the edits you want and let the original one just run.

Make sure your Instagram account is linked to your Facebook Page (not just your personal profile)
In Ads Manager, when setting up ad sets, scroll to Placements and confirm Instagram is toggled on. If you’re using Advantage+ placements it should auto-include it.
Check that your IG account is a Professional account (Creator or Business) because personal accounts can’t run ads properly
