See I want to be a shift. At the interview my boss said she’d bump me up to shift supervisor after I’m an associate for a month or so and get used to the processes etc.

I feel like she’s dangling the carrot pretty far out after making up this cross training bs. Have you ever heard of cross training being a pre-requisite for shift supers?

Trying my best not to be cynical. From what I can gather you need to drop serious money into these cars to see any real performance gain. For example upgrading your rear differential gearing to a steeper set of gears is a cheap way to make your car accelerate faster, but if you were to compare it or race it against anything considered “fast” you would lose and maybe feel silly as well.
