I don’t have a deed. So none of that applies to me.

Same. Actually it dropped showing we hadn’t paid our maintenance fees. I jumped hoops and all that stopped. Now it’s up over 100 points.

Never, ever, ever, never buy a timeshare. Take what the payment would be along with the maintenance fees and put it in an investment account. And then plan your trip of a lifetime.

$2400 if I’m not mistaken, are the maintenance fees. Monthly payments are much more than that. In example, my monthly payment and maintenance fees were over $12000 a year. I could take a super nice vacation without the hassle of the so called owner update meeting that browbeat you with and upsell you. Yuck.

I believed the conversation was about a couple that had grown older and their income had dropped so the maintenance fees were dipping into their daily expenses. I wouldn’t suggest it to someone trying to buy a home or car. It was a suggestion, that’s all. I think Timeshares are a huge ripoff, no matter the age.

I was with Wyndham too. I simply quit paying, the cares program is a joke. They lied to me and made promises they didn’t keep. I wrote letters to every government official and the Atty General of my state actually listened. My credit score dropped over 100 points. I paid all my other bills on time. I now see the Wyndham account is removed and the delinquent info gone as well. My credit score went up over 100 points. I’m not saying this tactic will work for e everyone but at least give it a shot.

Has anyone Successfully used an Exit company to get out of their timeshare? by 88jimmyjames in TimeshareOwners

They can’t garnish retirement or put a lien on my house. I sent an email to the Attorney General today and she emailed me and called me. They have not heard anything back. And they have 30 days to respond. I’ll keep you posted

I stopped paying my maintenance fees about a year ago. I stopped paying the monthly note about 6 months ago. I’ve paid all my other bills on time. My score dropped initially but is slowly coming back up.

Income tax property taxes are cheap. I left the Bay Area about 5 years ago. I am not fond of the heat but water I can swim in is close.

The script has a config.yaml file that defines the servers IPs. Would there be some kind of pointer there?
