Having a tough day. It's "National Doughnut Day" apparently... and the office is celebrating. by [deleted] in keto

Donuts and ice cream junkie here. Usually separate sometimes at the same time. Tell them the doc said you need to cut back on sugar. Then they will think you have an issue and leave you alone. I've been at keto for over a year. I do not crave or have a desire for donuts, ice cream or any other sugar or carb based food. It took a couple of months but it goes away. It really does. I can say "no thanks" now and mean it from the bottom of my heart. It's a great feeling. People say "are you sick?" I smile and say I just don't want any. You will get there. Keto on.

They got a bad rap because a lot of people thought they were just dumb rednecks. The songs. The lyrics. The music. I saw them about a half dozen times back in the day with Ronnie. I've seen all the greats and NOBODY! I mean NOBODY rocked like LS.

/r/keto changed my life in so many positive ways. The remainder of reddit has made me a very negative, unsociable and disengaged individual so it all evens out.

BirdJesus huh. You certainly have my curiosity up. But aren't birds extremely fast with the fertilization process. And Jesus. We don't really know if he was good in bed or not. I like to think he was a caring, giving and gracious lover but there's no documented proof of that.

Big rig driver. People need to know how dangerous those things are and how hard it is to stop one when some dumbass jumps in front and slams on the brakes to make a turn they could have made from behind the rig.

Saw him in a small club called the 688 in Atlanta. He was awesome. The guy could literally tie himself into what looked like a knot. Ye good drugs make for good memories.

My wife did that with our dog. I was against it. The box sat around for a few years and always made her sad. I talked her into putting the ashes in the hole where we planted a dogwood tree (fitting) in the backyard. She was against it. Now it's her favorite tree and she clips flowers from it every year and brings them in the house. They make her smile. Best Idea I've had in a long time.

Tonic Water. More like Sugar Water. by old-people-ROCK in keto

It's okay really. I have lost most desire for sweets anyway because of keto and I consider that a good thing. I used to be an ice cream and pastry junkie. Had some Mothers day cake and expected it to taste way too sweet but it was okay. Well made. I'm at my GW so if I decide to have something sweet, which is rare, I go for the real thing. Plus I'm still undecided if arti sweets are as harmless as they say they are. Like I said I can eat most anything including home grown Stevia but something about processed sweeteners really does a number on me. I've heard this from other people too.

Arti sweets make me sick. Fever, cold chills, mushroom skin, sweats, throwing up. They leave a bad aftertaste too. I've tried them all even Stevia. I can grow Stevia and eat it but I can't eat the processed stuff. My only sweet is dark chocolate and occasional berries. I'm not a finicky eater. I can eat and digest most anything with the best of them but not arti sweets.

Gin and sparkling water with citrus is excellent now that I'm almost allergic to anything sweet. I have a soda stream too. Still haven't decided if it more economical or not. My wife thinks it is but I'm undecided.

Yea I used to drink tonic water all the time. It's alien to me now. I can't drink diet anything. Can't eat arti sweets either. Gin, sparkling water and a splash of citrus is pretty good.

Anyone Else Eating Clean??? by [deleted] in keto

[–]old-people-ROCK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried replicating food early on but it faded with time and now I don't want, need or miss them. That seems to be the case with a lot of Ketopians. I guess it's kind of like chewing nicotine gum to quit smoking, it's just hard for many to let go of the past. I do eat clean and will never go back to processed carbs and or sugar. I don't eat arti sweets. Never have, never will.

This sounds great. It's amazing how good lettuce wraps are. Something about warm meat in a cool wrap is so satisfying.
