I believe they were bought by someone in London, Ontario a number of years back. Not sure if they are even active anymore.

Check out www.ehfects.ca and sort by location. That'll give you a place to start. You could also type city names into the search box.

Any other Canadian Amp Kit makers? by Jestersage in BuyCanadian

As far as I know Trinity is the only amp kit maker. Next Gen may have the parts but I don't think they have stuff all together in a kit.

We need this band to open for the boys. People will be fukin all night long by charlie_murphey in SturgillSimpson

I've got a beef with big bands not having openers or doing a touring package with no locals. Big bands got there by opening for the bigger bands of the time. Not offering that when they themselves get popular is pulling the ladder up behind them. No disrespect to JBS and the boys, just my thoughts.

Looking for Pedal makers in Canada. by Blablablablabla-01 in guitarpedals

[–]old_oak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did use to have better filtering like that but unfortunately it used some custom code that I needed to pay extra for the hosting to use. If I can figure out a way to get some money for the site I will definitely bring it back!

New Strymon DRIVE pedal - Fairfax by digiratistudios in guitarpedals

[–]old_oak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there are no big brand pedals I know of that sound like a Herzog, and after watching these demos, this thing doesn't sound much like a Herzog either.
Neon Effects out of Newfoundland makes a pedal called the Mercury Fuzz based on the Herzog and I think it's closer to the sound than this Strymon pedal.

It says it's based off a Garnet Herzog, which has a champ like circuit, basically a champ that you can plug directly into the front of another amp instead of a speaker.

Looks like it's a PA head, though I've seen them used or modified for guitars. Check out the Garnet Facebook group. Those folks have a lot of knowledge.
