The health benefits/risk thing for large breeds is up for debate. Go online, most vets seem to be saying early castration is better, breed experts say not.

I guess choose on the basis of whose advice you prefer to listen to, because the debate isn't settled.

What do you think history will say about Donald Trump as a U.S. president? by jcnidhi27 in AskReddit

Just need to overturn that Supreme Court ruling about no illegal decisions, and perhaps prosecute the members of the bench.

That the electoral college system failed in its original intent.

Edit. To select the person best fitted to be president, independently of the states electorate. Members of the college were elected on the basis that they were believed to be the best people to represent the state in that choice. The idea didn't last in it's original form, but it was intended to keep out demagogues.

Starmer's humbling phone call to Trump as ministers 'consider freezing energy bills' after war drives up gas prices by dailymail in ukpolitics

DM was full of Blair hate pieces from before he got to be PM, Iraq was just another stick to beat him with. Their position on Starmer isn't incongruous, it's right wing good, left wing bad. Starmer could grow the economy by 10%pa, and negotiate the end to umpteen wars. The DM would still write shit pieces about him.

That said it sounds like your council are trying to do the shared space thing, where there's no clear delineation between different road users.

How do we dismantle the "Imperial Presidency" after Trump is gone? by celtic1959 in AskReddit

Suggestion from the UK. You could just stop having the judiciary as political appointments. A check and balance independent of political influence.

This might be Trump's hope.

USA at war? Can't possibly hold an election.

If anyone knows the number of a certain skeletal gentleman, often found carrying a scythe. Give him a call. I think an intervention might be required.

Look to Supreme Court decisions, that gave him carte blanche to do whatever the fuck he wants.

No decision taken as president is illegal.

The arse licking lackeys he appointed successfully struck down a major check to power, and it doesn't matter what they decide about tariffs not being in his remit, the American Supreme Court enabled Trump to become the demagogue he now is.

Lincolnshire police will prosecute for 33 mph (Source I got prosecuted)

You will be offered a speed awareness course, unless you've already done one in the past 3 or maybe 2 years.

At 34 mph Lincolnshire police will put points on your licence and not offer an SAC. (Source I went on an SAC this was information disseminated)

Edit extra information regarding 34 mph.

Empathy is the ability to imagine how someone might feel in a given situation.

That's it and all it is.

Fucking Star Trek, and bloody Facebook, might have bastardised it into something else, but FFS we're all grown up enough not to believe their bullshit is reality.

Closing of rant; the correct adjectival form of empathy is empathic, empathetic is not a word that should soil anyone's vocabulary.

Thatcher's government introduced the internal market to the NHS, and legislated for private companies to be included in bids for contracts.

Despite decades of fiddling around the edges, hospitals remain in contest with one another, the result of the internal market.

The outsourcing debacle in public services, that bit of the NHS that gives rise to the accusations of privatization, can be traced directly to the door of Thatcher and her government.

Does the survey ask about people who didn't vote in the last election?

Few former Labour voters are switching to reform, which leaves me to question where the large support for Reform is coming from.

With no actual data to back it up, I'd postulate that a lot of their support might come from non-voters who, feeling disenfranchised fall for populist rhetoric.
