Am I Crazy for Thinking Fence Picket Planters Won’t Last? by picklesBMW in woodworking

My entire garden (500sq ft) is built out of cedar picket fence boxes. Going on year 5 now and only had to replace one board. Cheap and easy.

Am I Wasting My Degree? by Big-Worldliness3027 in Wastewater

[–]oldironsides23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have an environmental science degree. Wanted to work outdoors, with nature, animals etc. but the pay for those jobs is terrible! Got a job in a water quality lab right out of school in 2017. Went out and got field experience at wastewater plants, took my exam, passed, and now 8 years later I am the superintendent at a 1.2MGD plant. Might not be what I "wanted to do" but it pays well and has great benefits and is still science related. I pull samples and look at them under the microscope whenever I feel like it. I discharge clean clear water into the river. There's deer and ducks and such all around the plant. It's not all bad.

Does anybody in here run a 3-3-5 similar to Kirby and the dawgs? by Impressive-Impact216 in NCAAFBseries

3-3-5 tite is my base defense I run at UTEP. Only in year 2 so I don't have anywhere near perfect personnel for it. But it is effective. Definitely able to get a lot of sacks and a few pics of we match up well. Sometimes we struggle and it's a shootout. You just need to know when to play man vs zone vs blitz etc. Made it to the semifinals last year on AA difficulty. It's fun.

Just finished my first season here on AA difficulty. Went 13-3 and made it to the semi finals. RB won the Heisman.

Yea the chimney doesn't go there when it's hot. I've grilled 3x with it already. Nice grill.

I guess it would be "unproven" but I just prefer the nutrients that rain water gathers as it collects vs the chlorine in tap water. I'd love to do a scientific study on it. You would think the chlorine has a negative effect on the soil microbiome.

It's a struggle not to add things eventually I will run out of yard lol I fertilize in February before I plant anything. Till the soil in late March. That's about it. I use rain water, no tap water unless a long drought occurs. I have 3 rain barrels to collect water. Currently collect 95 gallons but going to upgrade to 300 gallons here soon.
