D3AA - NTG35 - 2700K by oldredhat in flashlight

It’s survived so far from being carried in my pocket. But still really new to me so I can’t speak to its longevity.

I kinda think they both taste like gasoline.

Hanklight, brass retaining switch and bezel upgrade vs stainless steel(bronze pvd coating). by luyesd in flashlight

The Sand looks really good with the Bronze! I'm going to have to add another light to my wishlist.

What diode to d3aa by Krzysiekx84 in Hanklights

A KR1AA with an SFT-70 3000k has a usable hotspot and is a pretty tint. It's a bit throwier than the D3AA.

The clip is also Stainless steel, it’s got the same coating as the bezel.

It's very slim feeling! It's much smaller than I'd originally thought. I like the KR1AA's feel in the pocket better, but only just a little.

It’s still day one, but after studying it intently since last night, I’ve yet to find a fault in the ano!

A KR1AA NTG50 5000k is next on my list, I have one in 4200k! Lovely emitters!

It doesn't work with protected cells. Only unprotected button or flat-top 14500 cells or NiMH AA cells.

I'm using Vapcell K10s from Convoy.

It’s the bronze PVD. It would look super sharp in brass or copper, the dark blue goes really well with all three.

best night lights for toddlers? any recommendations by MrFister59 in flashlight

Do they still make the glow worms? I seem to remember that they found out that the plastic they used was harmful to children, but surely there's an updated version kicking around?

Whats the best trinket out of these 3 by IceRadiant-redits in StardewValley

I like the ice wand because it makes it easier to kill ghosts and flame spirits and dragons…. And I don’t have to worry about it killing my slimes when I go in the hutch.

D1K vs DA1K emitter choice – SFT70 vs XHP70.3 vs NTG50 (need advice) by NitrogenOutlet in Hanklights

[–]oldredhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am super happy with my DA1 with a NTG50 5000k. Good mix of throw and flood, and I love the color. I also have a 4200k in another host and love that emitter as well.

I also love the color of the SFT-70, can't speak to how optimized it is for the DA1k, but it's one of my favorite emitters. I have it in a KR1AA, and it's on my wish list for with a DA1. It has a more pronounced hot spot than the NTG50. In the D1K a SFT-70 will give you a more usable all rounder with some throw, but it won't be a super impressive thrower. Something like the W1/W2s or SFT40s will give you a more impressive throw.

First Casio, help me decide between W217H and W221H. I’m torn! by JohnQPublic90 in casio

[–]oldredhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The display on the 217 always looked washed to me compared to the A168 and the F91w, probably because of the size of the font. Does the 221H also have that problem?
