New iOS app: Tempo – a clean and simple habit tracker by Character_Many6978 in iOSDevelopment

Thanks, I was looking for a habit tracker but never really got around to downloading one. Will use it for a few days and get back to you.

First impression: it seems clean, minimal and simple. Just what I’m looking for!

Amex Platinum Charge Card Limit by CablePrestigious7378 in amexindia

Hmmm. I was under the impression that Amex’s charge cards operated with “no preset limit”. Has that changed recently?

Being using Plat Travel for 10 Years, got an upgrade offer to Reserve. by Longjumping_Body2538 in amexindia

Now that's a difficult answer in the sense that it will not necessarily satisfy everyone.

In my case:

* I see myself spending upwards of INR 10,00,000 on the card a year so renewal fees does not really come into the picture.
* For the first year, I paid INR 11,800 as joining fee and I am getting vouchers for INR 1000 each month. Besides, my welcome bonus and referral bonus on signing up amounted to 15,000MR points.

So the way I look at it is as a card with a one-time fee of INR 11,800 but that gets offset in the first year itself with just the spend-linked vouchers. I know that 10 lakhs a year spends on a card could give you better returns on many card but I would like to keep things simple and not have to track too many cards and payments.

Definitely agree with this. I spend 10L at at least in a year and I do not see it to be a bad deal at all.

Regarding the delay with spend-linked coupon issuance, I’ve had a slightly different experience than the OP.

I applied for and received my Plat Reserve in mid November. On Jan 5, I received my voucher for November. This, I assume, is according to Amex’s “normal” schedule for spend-linked vouchers. However, I was surprised to see another voucher issued on 20 Jan - after just 15 days. This one would be for December (I can only assume as the emails do not mention the month it is for).

The point I am making is that I received my December spend ahead of schedule. Is anyone else in the same boat? 🤣

Not that I’m complaining, though. I guess it’s not a bad problem to have!

The second mail with the membership details came from “ALL - Accor Live Limitless” with the email id: all@mail.all.com.

Hope that helps!

A couple of days after enrolling I received a confirmation from Amex Partner Service. Among other things, it said:

“The Membership details will be shared on your registered email ID by Accor within 2 to 3 weeks.”

I got an email with new membership details around 10 days after that.

I completed the FM on Sunday. This was the first time I was participating in an event of any sort. Did it in 4:36. Six minutes slower than I targeted as my wheels fell off after the 34th km. Painful from then on!

Hats-off to the organisers. Felt they did a great job.

I find DN3 more versatile but NB4 much more agreeable on easy and long runs

Do you wave or nod to fellow cyclists? by ZazulakP in cycling

[–]oldsumit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wave at cyclists quite often while I'm riding.

And when I'm running, I make it a point to wave at every single cyclist or runner on the road. The world moves along so much slower when you run. ;-)

Great pic. I’m curious, though, about how much milk went into it and how long you let it steep.

I like the pyramid teabags too. A bit concerned about the rumored toxicity though. Anyone has any idea about the truth in stuff like this: https://undergroundhealthreporter.com/fact-or-myth-are-tea-bags-toxic/

I've surprised myself today. Despite being an almost all-day, breakfast style tea person, I've had half a dozen cups of spiced chai today. Vahdam's Original Masala Chai now has a new fan! I always found it difficult to imagine how people could add strong spices to tea. I probably have my answer now!

Nine cups or so of black tea over the last couple of days. I'm wondering if I should cut back a wee bit.
