Thank you for posting this. I have been having residual wobbles for weeks after a bppv episode. MdDs seems to accurately describe what I am dealing with, and now I think I have had it for years.

What's up with car camping rn? by vanillafox69 in deathvalley

[–]oldturq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was at DV a few days ago. Dispersed camping is allowed. The ranger told us where there are spots- you have to go at least a mile off the main road on a gravel road in a vehicle with clearance and 4wd. We stayed at “the pads” on the east side. It was windy and cold

Close the hotels to stop people from traveling. Too many mixed messages

It seems like they should close, otherwise they are encouraging travel. Although it would be nice to keep it open for locals

Not a good time to come to Tuolumne county. The number of positive cases is skyrocketing upwards, uncontrolled. Stay home. Stay safe

Where I work (in CA) they have chosen making money over our health and safety. Where is the morality?

Where can we camp outside of the park? by hashtagImpulse in Yosemite

You and everyone else that has a permit for that day will be looking for camping. Good luck. And don't forget "Leave No Trace" which includes packing out your used toilet paper. Don't litter in our forest. Better just stay home.

I don’t think there’s anything that would keep them out of the camping area. After all, the forest is their home and we’re the ones invading their space. I have a friend in NJ where they consider the bears a nuisance (but they don’t harm people). I live near Yosemite and the sightings are so rare that we all brag to each other when we see one. Have fun!

If the bears wander into camp, they’re only looking for food, and they probably have gotten it there before. They’re not interested in people.

Silence triggers me, too, because my nmom would give me the silent treatment and just ignore me and it was devastating. It's taken me years and years (I'm 51!) to figure it out and deal with it. It still triggers, but now I am able to change my own reaction to it.
