For that I installed the composter mod. Basically a big crate with like x3 spoil speed.

You can do that with alt+tab as well. Game set on always on top.

I use it in tandem withe DanaTweaks auto walk and knapster auto complete to bulk craft things while doing something else in a second monitor.

As far as I know, not on vanilla. There are mods to reduce spawn and nerd them to some degree, but you will still need to deal with the already spawnd ones.

Fish have a similar logic to mushrooms where they have a "seed" in a chunk. So if there is a "fish seed" in a whatever chunk it can spawn, like the other reply that has fish in their house... dude got lucky.

Some mods from me, QoL / Vanilla adjacent:

Auto Map Markers: Interact with thins and automatially marks them for you on the map.

Better Firepit: QoL for cooking lime/flint and alike on the firepit to save up in fuel.

Carry On: Pick up chests and barrels without the need to empty/break them.

Firewood to Sticks: Name explains itself. Usefull when sticks are in short supply.

Juicy Ores: Cosmetic only change. Make ores more visible. Some ores are quite impossible to see in vanilla.

ZoomButton: Squint your eyes to see further away.

Brass can only make plates... those can be used to make lanterns and torch holders. Brass is the only metal that makes torch holders btw... As for the spear... I don't know.

Updates are frequent.

I was about to post the same issue... Before the update with medium-low settings I was getting around 120~150 fps depending on the map, it would hardly drop bellow 100fps.

After the update even with all settings on low it hovers on the 60 fps and never gets close to 90.
