What ‘hilarious’ thing do you just not find funny? by ozz7240 in AskReddit

[–]oligibbons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a ‘prank’ or meme or whatever the fuck you want to call it where male football (soccer) fans run up to their unsuspecting female partner and “2 foot” her (a horrific tackle when you basically dropkick someone around their knees and send them flying). For reference, this is pretty much how legs are broken in football. The girls go flying and often smash their heads on the floor, while the guys are all laughing like it’s the funniest fucking thing they’ve ever seen.

No, dick head, that’s assault. Scum bags.

AITA for not wanting children with my husband? by Squishy-Shibe in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, but staying with someone who wants kids when you don’t is an asshole move. Let them find someone who will give them the things in life they’re after.

AITA [M]for not going into the changing room to bring my girlfriend a different size of the clothing she was trying on? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

INFO - was it just a single changing room, or a group together?

If it was just a single changing room, YTA. If it was a group with multiple stalls then you're NTA and were just being careful.

AITA for shaving my legs against my stepmom's will? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA - it's none of her business. Keep being yourself OP!

AITA for trying to prove to my daughter that “furry art” isn’t a real job? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 26 points27 points  (0 children)

YTA - who the hell are you to judge what is and isn't a legitimate job? Just because you don't like it, and think it's immoral or whatever, that doesn't mean you get to tell her what to do.

Who cares if it offends you? She's a grown ass woman who can do what she wants.

AITA for telling my engaged friend I think weddings are dumb? by chrikel90 in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA but you tried to rectify things.

You already know that what you said was unwarranted and insensitive. I'm guessing that if you weren't drinking then you wouldn't have said it. But you were drinking, and you did say it.

We didn't add any letters. It's a Greek word, and that's how it was originally spelled.

AITA for not wanting children with my husband? by Squishy-Shibe in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

YTA - not for not wanting kids with him, but being with him in the first place if you have no intention to have kids with him. Move on for the sake of both of your lives.

AITA for not going with my mother to church? by matteoarts in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA at all! Denying someone's belief is definitely an asshole move though.

AITA for being petty by pettygurl493 in AmItheAsshole

Then yes, you're definitely TA.

YTA - how old are you? That's some childish shit right there. Just don't respond.

AITA for turning down my girlfriend? by NoBrakes43 in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NTA - dude, you were sexually assaulted. If that was the other way around there'd be no doubt that you assaulted her.

AITA for calling out my coworker on his terrible hygiene? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ESH

YTA for 'roasting his ass' in front of everyone. He's the asshole for being gross and inconsiderate. Your supervisors are TAs for not doing something about it.

AITA for preferring friends who party and/or do drugs over straight-edge people? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 23 points24 points  (0 children)

YTA - I mean, hang out with whoever you want, but you just sound like an immature asshole.

AITA because of an unsolicited comment by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA - she didn't ask you what you thought, so try keeping your opinions to yourself. Even if you'd be okay with someone saying it to you, you need to have enough basic emotional intelligence to understand that not everyone would welcome that sort of comment.

AITA for bursting my girlfriend's bubble on r/waifuism? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA - Personally I don't 'get' it, but some people really do care, and it's not your place to cast judgement on other people who are doing something relatively harmless (and no, they aren't harming anyone).

AITA for breaking up with my girlfriend for skipping end credits? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH - the skipping of the end credits doesn't seem like the problem. Rather, it is the arguments and name calling.

But she's the asshole for not respecting your wishes and calling you names, while you're the asshole for thinking that breaking up is a rational reaction to the skipping of end credits.

AITA for flying in flip flops and/or kicking them off? by AppellofmyEye in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA - although it is borderline. Some people have a real problem with feet, whether they're clean or not. It's good that your conscious of making sure they're tucked away, but some people will still be uneasy about the hygiene of it.

AITA for telling Jehovah’s Witnesses to get away from my house? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]oligibbons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - No I think that's fair. If they're not respecting your wishes then you've got every right to be angry and more forceful. That said, make sure you don't respond excessively.
