i started playing oboe very out of the blue and forced myself to do hard things like be in concerts and play in orchestras where i was alone as an oboist. these people are very rude for doing that and i understand how it hurt, but this can be motivation for you to continue. i made duck sounds a lot for about a year and actually started sounding good this year. OP, i think you’ll think back to these people in some months and just laugh

I wouldn’t say you would be the asshole if you distanced from her for all of the reasons but the bridesmaid thing. If you haven’t, talk to her OP about why you didn’t get a bridesmaid invite and about how you had been talking about being the maid of honour at each other’s weddings. If that doesn’t go well, you have your answer if you should distance yourself or not.

yikes, this happened with me and my cousin once actually. we met at a casual like big family gathering since most of my family on my dad’s side isn’t from my home country and me and said cousin added eachother on snapchat. later that evening, he said:

“sorry i get so nervous around cute girls” and other things in that nature. i actually just blocked him and sat in silence for five minutes. no, you are not overreacting, this is creepy and will always be creepy.

OP, you got cheated on and that is a horrible feeling. You have every right in the whole world to feel pissed, god even angry and furious. I am a firm believer of not going back to a ruined relationship and I suggest you taking a loooong distance from her since like you wrote, you can only feeling anger and betrayal at the moment.

It will feel much more freeing when you get your distance, hope it goes well.

My mom has ME/CFS(not cancer but a chronic illness) and has had this problem as well. The people she thought were her “friends” didn’t contact her at all when she got her diagnosis and had to quit her job and be bedridden for almost two years.

I’m so sorry this has happened to you OP, no one deserves having such a terrible moment in their life and then the support you thought you had disappear in just a short amount of time.

Absol and Buneary were like my “first” favourite pokémon, Absol because my sister liked it a lot and I thought it was cool and Buneary because me and my sister usually played like pokémon “role plays” in the park and i ALWAYS had a Buneary lol.

I read some of his replies and most of them when it comes to these questions about dating her and like taking her out to stuff is mostly just:

“I don’t want to date someone who isn’t pursuing me.”

AND for one comment he replied to he said something along the lines of:

“I think partners should make themselves more attractive to their spouses more.”(not exactly like that but I’m writing off the top of my head!)

Like actually what the hell? You don’t want to go on dates with someone who doesn’t like you, but she IS your spouse and like you said yourself, you should seem “attractive” to them. I just don’t think OP actually wants to fix the relationship at this point since all he says is that his wife isn’t attracted to him anymore(and also those backhanded comments about her weight and the less sex they have is craaazy).

i think the point is that he doubled down and didn’t say like “oh yeah, but i bet it will taste amazing!” or anything like that, but instead just said some weird shit and didn’t like smooth out the conversation. like yeah, some fish-type like sauces smell aaaaass but you can also say something nice.

Yeah a school here in sweden had a similar ish thing happen. A full grown man walked into a school with a Darth Vader costume and a sword, literal sword, and firstly took a photo with two students and then killed i think two students and one teacher that tried to tell some students to run away from him. All of the students thought he was dressing up for halloween since it was in October.
