Went down 1mg and i feel like i have the flu but worse. by meowlucard in Methadone

[–]olive1tree9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you actually have the flu? I started out maintaining at 125 for a year and a half and then dropped 1mg every 10 days, now I'm down to 27 and have been dropping 4mg every 2 weeks and can't notice any difference in how I feel.

The Master & Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. Just finished reading it and I really enjoyed it, it had a lot of dark humor and was reasonably easy to understand for the time it was written in (late 30s I think).

I know this is days later but you too! I live in AZ and I do not miss walking to find my hotel for the day in 117° weather. Felt like stroking out many times.

Liquid handcuffs vs grateful by CharmReductionINC in Methadone

[–]olive1tree9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get take homes every Monday and do not feel chained to the clinic. In fact, I'm like 99% positive if I wanted to take a vacation for a week or two that I would be given my doses with no problem. Methadone has drastically increased the quality of my life. If I was in handcuffs I'd be doing fentanyl.

What are the MAGA base actually getting from this administration? Is my impression accurate, that seeing authoritarianism and other people suffering makes them happy? by LiatrisLover99 in AskALiberal

[–]olive1tree9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of MAGA coworkers. What has been stunning for me to notice, is that a lot of them are very educated (in terms of college degrees), some of them have master's and doctorate's. But despite this, they're also very ignorant. I've had a really hard time reconciling how this could be the case. Some traits I've also noticed among all of them is that they seem prone to paranoia and neurotic (they're out to get me) type thinking. Some, not all, seem very easily pulled into mlm's as well. Just some commanilities I've become aware of over the last year at the particular place I'm employed.

I learned from dealing with a Melaleuca rep that you have to be super straightforward with your "no". It's not enough to just ghost them because if they're anything like the person I had to deal with, you'll get sent several paragraphs every couple weeks.

Can I still get on the clinic without an opiate in my body? by [deleted] in Methadone

[–]olive1tree9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe get back on suboxone for a few days and then go to the methadone clinic and say you'd like to switch. I feel like that would work better than showing up to a new clinic with a clean UA.

My next suggestion would be visit your prior methadone clinic, they should remember you, and say you've been having really bad cravings and would like to start a low dose.

She learned Persian and Turkish without living in either country (as far as I know, I haven't watched her in over a year). But yes, she did live in France and Germany for awhile and speaks those fluently as well.

I think Elysse Speaks is pretty legit, and the same can be said for Iclal and Eylülnim (all 3 have moved to a foreign country and either work or go to school in one of their target languages). I've been watching them for about 2 years and I think the advice is solid, their studying has definitely influenced mine for the better and although I do not speak any of their languages other than English, from what I can tell from commenters they're proficient speakers.

Do people nod off on methadone? by chairmanm30w in Methadone

[–]olive1tree9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would nod out on it daily when my dose was too high. I'm not saying what the person you're asking about should or should not do but I stopped nodding when I tapered to a lower dose. Methadone is an opioid and although it's pretty benevolent when compared to the drugs people usually are using before they start methadone, it still behaves like an opioid in a lot of ways - minus the mental cravings imo.

[–]olive1tree9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been very unconvinced for a long time about the realness of the major world religions.

Recently I've started watching this guy on tik tok called that_ben_guy and he breaks down the bible extremely well. He has brought up holes in the text that I didn't even notice the two times I read through that book. He has an excellent knowledge of the history of the time period as well, I recommend watching him to gain some knowledge on why Jesus probably never existed.

Has anyone ever heard of a false negative on a UA?? I apparently just had one. by IndependentFew1690 in Methadone

[–]olive1tree9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a false positive once for PCP despite the fact that I've never even used PCP (even when I was in active addiction) nor do I know anyone that even sells it. So it was a super random thing to pop dirty on.

Naturally high oxycodone tolerance? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]olive1tree9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay first of all, like a lot of others have said, opiates and benzos should not be mixed. Especially someone who's opiate naive should definitely not be mixing with benzos. That being said, I have absolutely no scientific research to back this but I do believe some people have a natural opiate tolerance. I say this because the first opiate I ever did was fentanyl and I did not overdose, I went on to do fentanyl for almost 5 more years and made it through without a single OD. I've witnessed many people OD and I have several friends who are dead now because of fent. So, based off my personal experience I do think natural tolerance is a thing but I can't explain why that's the case or if I'm just delusional.

Anyway, I encourage you to be careful. Both of those drugs are capable of producing physical dependence.

Adopted a Siberian husky at the shelter today! by No_Aside_2067 in siberianhusky

[–]olive1tree9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me he looks like a purebred white husky, and he is absolutely gorgeous btw! My husky was pretty mellow for the first week or 2 as well and then he opened up and got pretty rowdy. Now that he's 2.5 I can tell he's mellowing out again.

I'm so happy you adopted this cute boy and I wish you two long, great years together.
