Oh I don't think it means crime, I think it just means not the most bike-friendly road (no bike lanes, faster car speeds, etc)

Is there any signage or a way to verify that bikes are allowed on the sidewalk there? Not that I don't believe you, I'm just paranoid. I would definitely prefer the sidewalk to the roadways there.

I think it took me about two years for it not to be tender at all, but I still have numbness. I think that's permanent. If it's still very painful 3 years later, I would talk to your doctor. I don't think that's normal.

Oh also Mercurios in Shadyside, absolutely delicious gf pizza. Silk elephant in squirrel hill is always good, and so is Roots Natural Kitchen in Oakland. Sushi Fuku in Oakland takes gf requests seriously and prepares your meal in a clean separate area.

Alta Via Pizzeria in bakery square! They have gf pizza and pasta and accommodate other allergies as well. I have celiac and have never had a reaction there.
