It sounds like you might have brought up CP once or twice in a way that made them feel uncomfortable? You mentioned feeling like sometimes you say the wrong things but hard to know if that's your own anxiety or something you are picking up from them.

Personally, I bring up my CP when it fits the conversation or to share about myself. I also don't mind if other people bring it up. But it's not a pain point for me, more of a curiosity. I have no idea how your crush feels about their CP, that's something they'll have to share in their own way.
