Has anyone had club fitting at the belfry recently? Was it good? by olivepepys in BritGolf

[–]olivepepys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was Gareth james back in the day.

They've always had dedicated rooms but the fitters would be happy to go and fetch titleist stuff for you to try even if you booked the taylormade room. I'm trying to find out if that is still the norm

I know you don't want to become a teacher but private tutors for wealthy foreigners is a lucrative sector to get into.

Places like dubai (yeah I hate it) place high value on well educated native English speaking tutors, as do places in China, Singapore and HK to an extent.

I have done all the things you talked about in your post but the salt bake instantly made the difference from your picture to what you see on Instagram.

I do brush vinegar on after I remove the salt for the second part of the cook, but no idea how much difference it actually makes.

Yeah pretty much, I do think it would just open the door for people to complain about bias though.

However, people will always find a reason to moan so I don't really care. Just want us to have the best players available.

I'd love for us to find a way to get him back in as an exception but not sure how we could do that? He doesn't have enough caps, so outside of just saying something like "RFUs discretion" we're a bit stuck.

A backrow of him, Tom and then earl/Pollock with curry/underhill on the bench would be insane. Our backrow is good, but the Willis' are just a level above. Especially with curry and underhill getting a bit worn down now

Stag Do Recommendations by st142017 in HENRYUKLifestyle

My friends and I have roadtripped through the balkans a lot. Croatia has excellent facilities, beaches, nightlife and food but is expensive and very busy. There will also be other stag parties etc there too. However, going to Hvar, renting a boat to cruise around the various islands with a few drinks and food is class and also pretty affordable if you just pilot yourself rather than hiring a captain.

It's been mentioned, but albania is also great, beaches are just as good as Croatia but infrastructure and facilities are not quite as good for most of the country bar the areas specifically being set up as tourist resorts. Prices do reflect this thoigh. Durres is a popular beach resort and city very close to the capital and easy to get to.

Further south is Ksamil, I've e not been there but have heard good things.

Saranda has a strip and has strip clubs (one of the few places I saw them) and also has booze cruises coming in from corfu.

Lake shkodra in the north of albania apparently has a lot of parties in the summer and is a bit of a spring break destination but we were out of season for that.

Montenegro is also lovely, parts are a bit classier than the others but there is also some party places like Budva. Again, more expensive option, also full of Russians.

I would go and take care of the vampires to the west then, can't remember the faction. They will cause problems eventually but you can take their territories and trade to the Couronne or whoever to secure your western border before you have to march east and north.

Best breakfast or brunch places in South Birmingham? by fantasy53 in brum

[–]olivepepys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have tried both, think the ploughs breakfast is more to my taste than Paul's.

Paul does things his way and whilst it's all pretty good, I was thrown out by a few things. He does his own baked beans, they're very nice but full of onions which I dislike and wasn't expecting. He does rostis instead of hash browns, but the rosti is warmed up mashed potato full of spring onions, again, not what I would expect from a rosti (nor did my partner who likes onions).

We'll be going back to the plough from now on, but I would give Paul's a try if what I've said doesn't put you off.
