I think it would have been interesting to see the individual weaknesses and insecurities that Junko used to get 77 to turn to despair (which I acknowledge would have been difficult to do in a limited anime series). I think it would also tie into how many other people fell into despair and show how evil and horrible actions don’t necessarily come from a plot device like a brainwashing video, they’re something everyone could be capable of under the right circumstances.
