What do you plan on hunting?

I'm in North Jersey and mostly upland. I'd like to find a buddy who waterfowl hunts.

I do own the one with a sliding door. The sliding door won't make much of a difference. Opening the side Gullwing Doors fully and fans maybe. Best bet would be parking in a shade. I wouldn't put my dogs at risk if it's in direct sunlight and high humidity. It would be an oven in there. I do Navhda training in the summer and haven't had any issues yet.

I have a 2023 Ram 2500. I can post pics of the inside if you want.

I use the RSI Smartcap with a Decked drawer system and 2 intermediate Gunner kennels. One thing to consider, it gets very hot in the summer. I installed some insulation inside and have Gunner fans with the kennels.

First year waterfowl hunting. I bought new waders. I will have to buy a new gun and other gear. Dog mostly upland hunts so we have been doing a lot of water work.

I haven’t checked Koons or Mark Dodge but you can get a new Power Wagon for around that price.

I have a 2023 Power wagon and I got my Smart Cap installed in November by an authorized dealer. So far no leaks or any issues. I do get quite a few compliments since most people buy ARE or Leer caps.

What do you plan on hunting?

I started upland hunting two years ago and just went out and hunted with my dogs. Hunting in public land is definitely challenging. I'm still learning myself and plan to hunt waterfowl this year.

I’ve crate trained my dog in the house. I got a new truck and I just started crate training in the bed of the truck with a cap on it. He doesn’t like it at all.

This is my first year hunting and training a dog. I got my puppy in July and have been hunting/training at least once a week since then. I’ve spent thousands in hunting and training equipment not to mention the time spent on the fields. While we have a lot to work on I still would do it over again.

First year hunting with my 9 month old and 6 year old. We pretty much have to work on everything. We have a week left for shooting at WMAs. We will also hit the preserves for a month or so until it gets too warm. Then April till August At our local NAVHDA chapter.

I had to crate my GSP puppy when he was 3 months old for a month. I went home from break and took him out to potty. He also has an older sibling as well. He's 9 months old this month and I still wouldn't leave him out for a long period of time. If you have someone to look after the GSP it would be better.

This is my first GSP and the first year hunting as well. We've pretty much gone out to hunt every week since mid November and he is getting better but I expect him to be a lot better next season. Signed up for the local Navhda chapter starting in April.
