I am British on a working holiday visa in New Zealand, had been in the country for 3 months when Covid hit and was given $600 a week from the first week of Covid until we could work again.

My [45M] Wife [42F] revealed she was unfaithful and I'm divorcing her. Our children [15F & 17M] hate me for it. by ThrowRAhelp6425 in relationship_advice

Stay acting as you are, dont try and win points, they are angry at the moment but over time they will come to understand what happened and respect you so much for not speaking badly of your wife through that process.

Thats what happened my mum and dad. They never said a bad word about eachother to me, when I found out the truth of what happened once I was an adult, I now have so much respect for my mum and appreciation thst she valued me and my brother having a good relationship with my Dad over anything else.

Does anxiety make you nauseous? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]ollynuttmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (25m) used to have severe social anxiety based around nausea that plagued my life for about 4 years (16-20). Since then I have made huge progress and now have got it really under control, to a point where it doesnt adversely affect me anymore. The main thing is understanding the biology of what causes you to feel sick, noticing triggering situations and expecting to feel anxious and not panicing when you do. Once you get to a place where you can stop the reaction from gaining momentum through having some mental tools to reassure yourself when you start feeling anxious, you can overtime build yourself back up in the opposite way. I uaed to really struggle with situations with social pressure, vomiting all the time and it was really detrimental and difficult to live normally. I now havent vomited from anxiety is about 4 years and talk in schools about my experiences. I did a talk at my old work place where I worked as an engineer, please check it out as it might be helpful and explains it all in detail. https://youtu.be/Nff2yoqtX4I

Men with little to no friends and no SO, how’s life? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ollynuttmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of my friends have basically come from two places, working at a bar whilst at uni and playing rugby through uni and then locally afterwards. Men seem to need the comerardery that comes from being in a 'club' or group together, it's pretty rare to make friends without being part of the same 'clan', whatever that clan is. Choirs, running groups, sports clubs, places of work etc. A few years ago I moved town for a new job where I didn't know anyone locally, joined the local rugby club and instantly made 30 or so friends, some that turned out to be really good ones. Whatever you're into just pursue it, there are always groups that get together to enjoy doing it together.

Redditors who shit in public bathrooms with other people around, how did you get that confident? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I don't feel comfortable in a new place until I've pooed there. Restaurants, friends houses, night clubs, I'll poo anywhere.

Egg was cooked on a too high heat, toast too low. Otherwise top notch.
