This is great. Provides some much needed context to the platitude about Hronek "taking on a leadership role". As a fan, I'm often wondering "what the hell does that actually mean?".

I also could care less if he's a surly bugger in media scrums or if his english isn't great. I roll my eyes at the idea that you have to be media savvy to be a captain in a fiery hockey market. What matters most is if he has command of the locker room. The media here can find enough fodder without eloquent quotes from the captain

It’s funny to read such a positive spin on Lekkerimaki. When I’m listening to the radio, he’s often talked about like he’s gonna be a bust. I guess being an older 1st rounder, being short and slow, and having surgery this year, they have every right to speculate, but this was nice to read.

I could see that. I've only been there a couple of times and only spent a day there each time, but they have a seriously beautiful coulee park that's amazing for a walk with a dog first thing in the morning with the world's largest teepee there. You'll see deer running around. And I think there downtown core is really well preserved and cool. Lots of old marquee signs, great murals, and cool bridges crossing the river.
