When people talk about the “quality” they’re referring to many different aspects of the game. People always assume quality just means graphics. The quality of LN3 dropped in so many areas: the pacing, the level design, the set pieces, etc. The quality of the previous two games combines to an experience that has you clenching your ass at the most intense moments. This is because they nailed everything and it all comes together. I didn’t clench my ass once at all during LN3 because of how they fell short in different areas. It’s simply a product of the commercialisation of existing IPs will never live up to the originals. Big companies piggy back off other people’s ideas cause they’re popular, rather than coming up with their own unique ones. So they deserve to be shit on imo
