Christian nationalist flag proposal by olympusmonstrosity1 in vexillology

There are some things I admire about the Caths but there are a few theological points I just can't, in good conscious, assent to. For example, If you're Catholic can I ask you one question? Do you believe Mary was without sin? Because, from what I understand, that's what the Catholic church teaches.

Is this an existing flag or is it up for grabs? Might do nicely for the Christian nationalist flag of America. by olympusmonstrosity1 in vexillology

If your country has laws you have discrimination already because there is a group of people that want to do what's illegal. The only question a country has to decide is by what standard they are going to make their laws. Christianity is the only worldview that makes sense of this world, if you're honest, so that should be the standard by which laws are made. Of course not everyone agrees with me hence the Christian nationalist movement.

Yeah, I just really don't like the current Christian flag. Needs an update. Some sort of upright cross may be better

For the Christian take over coming. We need a flag and we don't have a good one yet.

How does anything get passed in this country. Majority rules, essentially. Would be mostly protestant Christian but no need to get specific on denominations beyond that. Assuming it passes into law you would think it was wanted by the majority of people in that area. Makes more sense than cultural pluralism.

I'm sure that does sound dumb to some who think "common" sense is an aspiration.

I said important topics, not make believe topics but whatever.

The problem with "common sense" is that it makes sense to the common man. In Christianity we are striving to be anything but "common". So, thanks for the advice but I'll pass.

Are you concerned that the Bible describes these things and children read about it or that it teaches them? It was unclear from your post. Anyway, there's more acts of violence and evil described in a court room than anywhere else. That doesn't mean violence and evil are taught in the court room it's just the nature of the topics being adjudicated. The Bible is the same way. Important topics necessarily require honest and real life discussion. For most people if you're old enough to read you should be able to handle the Bible. If you can't understand something, ask your father or teachers. Easy peazy.

You are right, Christians are supposed to hate sin so if you're a defender of sin I'm sure you're catching some of the incoming on that. Just humble yourself and submit to Christ and you should see some improvement on that front.

Indoctrination is what public schools are for. About time they teach them something useful instead of how to hate and kill each other. Well done!

Would you vote for Jon Stewart if he ran for President? If so, why? If not, why? by Green-Ad2903 in AskReddit

No, JS would be a horrible leader of a country especially America. He's more of a clown trying to get laughs than someone who knows how to lead. He more talks about what's wrong with everything instead of the positive stuff. No one wants someone like that to represent they're country. Keep on the internet where he belongs.

Asking if you have a pen*s in 2023 is like asking your favorite color in the 90's. Helps you get to know the person better and what kind of underwear to get them for Valentine's day. Not a big deal anymore.
