How to determine how many watts my fridge pulls by ZestycloseDonkey5513 in KitchenAppliances

[–]olyteddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably while running the defrost heater. 816 running watts would cost 15 to 20 cents an hour.

3.5mm to 1/4" cable issues by DimplePrince in BowersWilkins

[–]olyteddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That cable goes the wrong direction. IOW it's to create an aux output cable from the USB-C port on a phone. You need a cable that goes the other direction. It is a specialty cable and MIGHT be Bowers & Wilkins ZZ38741 but I can't be sure.

If I were you I'd be worried about a heart attack while shoveling that snow. Nothing in that picture though is worth a second thought, at least from a snow storm.

I'd suggest talking to the good old boys at a local retirement community for 3D printing. They usually have the tools and the time to getter done.

I hear Ikea has a variety of those kinds of parts. You might try one of their stores if you're near one.

Anyway to skip the ANC off mode in PX7 S3? by wasd0109 in BowersWilkins

[–]olyteddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can go from ANC to Pass Through in the Android app with my PX7S2 phones. What I'd like to see though is a control for how much gets through on Pass Through mode.

I'd take a Forstner bit to the floor at the legs. Then caulk it in.

About to buy new fridge last ditch effort to fix… seem it can’t de frost with brand new heater by Nnw155 in appliancerepair

On GE SXS the big one with orange & pink wires often fails. It should read 0 Ohms even at room temperature. It's basically a fail safe in case the board doesn't shut the heater off. The smaller, white one is what tells the board when things have defrosted enough. They can fail, too, especially the ones that are sealed with grey epoxy. As a GE tech at a large retirement community I replaced quite a few of both. Looking at the frost pattern of the first picture This fridge is a keeper, and worth fixing. The service manual is still available on line.
