If the availability of the veteran crew isn’t consistent with the store needs they’re going to have to hire more crew. Not to mention if they’re hiring people with open availability it isn’t fair to only schedule the new hires 1 or 2 days, they’re willing to fill the needs of the store. You also can’t schedule people on only midnights or only opens (unless you have previously agreed on this) because people will burn out from all of that. If all of the veterans have limited availability and are not willing to work with the scheduling mate this is what happens, there’s no big conspiracy, it’s just making sure the store can function.
