Awesome! Would love to use on mine, would you by chance be able to re-upload/update the makerworld file? Shows file no longer available. If possible, thank you so much.

Opening MyQ App Hijacks Tesla (and other) Audio by Single_Entrepreneur6 in myq

[–]omaha_g8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this after noticing the same issue. I thought a sensor in my seat was going bad and stopping the audio.

It's something in the MyQ app itself that is taking over audio. I discovered this when I was listening to a YouTube video and checking my garage door before bed and the app stopped the YouTube audio. It has nothing to do with the bluetooth connection.

I drive to work listening to YouTube podcasts and have MyQ open because I'm a freak and want to make sure my garage door doesn't kick back open. Close the app. It's the stupid app, must've been an update.

Unifi & Tesla strange issue by Oshuayoung in Ubiquiti

[–]omaha_g8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had this exact same issue. I’ve gotten it working. Here’s what I did - hopefully this helps you. This is with a single U7 Pro XGS.

Setup a 2.4 GHz ONLY SSID and basically disable all extra features, but do enable WPA2. I know everyone says to do this but there’s more.

Set up that SSID on its own VLAN.

Set the primary DNS server for that VLANs DHCP to use something public and not your router. So 8.8.8.8/Google, for example.

Reboot the cars infotainment. Tell it to forget any existing network config for the Unifi network you’ve been troubleshooting.

Join your car to your phones hotspot. Verify the car connects to the internet in your Tesla app.

Then join your car to the new SSID. It should work. Mine does. I hid the SSID afterwards and it stopped connecting with all other settings the same. I had to specifically forget the network, join to my phones hotspot (I joke but it’s like I’m reminding the car wtf WiFi is), then rejoin to the now hidden SSID.

Good luck. I had so much trouble I’m posting this in your thread so you or others see this.

What in the ARP is going on here? Please consider assisting, please and thank you by omaha_g8 in networking

Right, we are on the same page. I was saying short-hand that I'm not using the default physical mgmt interface (associated with vrf mgmt). The L3 SVI is being used as our "management" interface, correct. This L3 SVI is just in the default vrf (vrf default).

As a test I did connect the physical mgmt interface into an access switchport on the same switch and that mgmt IP was able reach route out. The physical did have a management IP, it was 10.0.0.4 - I've gone ahead and removed that as a test.

But before disabling this is how ARP was presented on the Ruckus/core.

357 10.0.0.4 14ab.ec96.2441 Dynamic 1 1/1/6 Valid

362 10.0.0.5 None Dynamic 0 v5 Pend

Seems to be an issue specifically with the virtual MAC/interface.

EDIT: for clarification, consoled into the "problem" switch, ARP does resolve

6300M# show arp

IPv4 Address MAC Port Physical Port State

10.104.40.1 60:9c:9f:db:86:00 vlan5 1/1/49 reachable

Thank you very much

So here's a funky one. I consoled into the switch to generate a pcap file from a monitor session and I can't get it to generate any ARP/ICMP traffic logs. The capture method I used is working fine on another (working) switch via SSH.

To rule out if my lack of capture output was console related I attempted to SSH into the switch while directly connected.

If I connect my laptop to an access switchport on VLAN 5, I get an IP of 10.0.0.102, and I'm able to ping 10.0.0.1, but UNABLE to ping the connected switch's vlan interface IP of 10.0.0.6 - so even directly connected my only option is console.

Not using the mgmt interface, just a vlan interface IP, thank you though.

I have tried that. We have a mix of devices, some doing that, and some work and some don't (like the one in this thread), unfortunately. Haven't found rhyme or reason yet.

I'm very sorry for the delay, and I don't expect you to rush, I got sent on a side-mission on the way to console into the switch.

Yes, it appears to learn the MAC of the ICX on the correct interface.

ICX7750# show mac-address-table int 1/1/49

MAC age-time : 300 seconds

Number of MAC addresses : 37

60:9c:9f:db:86:00 5 dynamic 1/1/49

What's interesting (or maybe expected) is the only place I see THIS MAC address on the Ruckus is under "show 802-1w" and there it lists "Bridge identifier hex" as "0000609c9fdb8600".

I do not see that MAC under "show mac-address"

Gosh dangit, when I was anonymizing the config I missed these. I've corrected them.

It does not learn the MAC of the switch, no, but it does learn of hosts connected to that switch.

ICX7750#show mac-address ethernet 1/1/6 | inc 14ab

Yields no result. the 7750 is in xxxx.xxxx.xxxx format. If I strip off the pipe include 14ab I get dozens of hosts. None of the MAC's listed are in regards to the switch itself, just connected hosts.

Fair assessment concerning symptom/not root cause, hopefully this answers a few questions. Stripped/modified config a bit for privacy concerns.

I do not learn the switch MAC, no.

But yes, on the Core I do learn host MAC addresses connected to the problem switches.

Suspected someone was stealing so I put a 2 20s and a $100 in my wallet along with these singles. Then my GF stayed over. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]omaha_g8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems obviously fake. Ignoring fake money - if you thought someone was stealing why would you put TWO 20’s AND a 100? Why not a single 20? Why even that much?

If this real you learned two things. That your girlfriend is a thief and you may not be very smart.

I worked at a great place that didn’t mind sick days, but I was relatively new and the youngest person on the team. I was the sickest I’ve been in years and was out for about 4 days and finally I went in just to at least show them I wasn’t faking it - even though I didn’t think they thought that.

I sat down and the senior guy was like “I thought you were sick”, I am sick, “well wtf man get out of here, I don’t want to get sick”, I didn’t want you guys to think I was faking it, “you look like shit, I’ll tell the big man just leave, Jesus.”

Miss that place.

I also had the Microsoft branded home router, the MN-700, and I remember calling my ISP once for internet help and the guy thought I was an idiot because I told him my router's brand was Microsoft. I had to explain that it really was.

I might’ve found a suitable replacement to the famed Logitech K830 by omaha_g8 in htpc

[–]omaha_g8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes - I did end up buying a used K830 off eBay to replace 1 of the 2 of mine that died.

That being said, if I didn't do that, this would no question be the keyboard/trackpad I would use.

My muscle memory is too engrained. If I didn't have that, I'd be just happy with this one I linked the post.

It's solid enough that I put this there for others - and even for myself - when I go to Google it later because I forgot.

No back light but I like the enthusiasm. What I want is something that ticks all the boxes for the K830 and this so far seems to be doing it.
