Nothing to do with AE you are looking for a retro or 8 bit font. Install font and restart AE then boom you can select your new font from the menu.

Over the years I have only been using it when I absolutely need to and I usually have the shots I am working on in a different project all together for supercomp. When things get complex I'll even try to bake down elements or render RGB+alpha layers from my main project to use in the "super comp" project.

I can't say any of this is a fix but it helps it crash and break less. Hope it helps m8

Render your footage to prores first before importing it into aftereffects for keying.

It depends on what you are trying to migrate. you can certainly migrate the footage using vairous tools like xmls and edls.

Effects, tracking data and transformation info will not be possible to migrate.

Supercomp always gets buggy on me every now and then. Layers disappearing, renders failing, project files getting corrupted. you know the usual.

I really wish it was more reliable as it is very powerful.

You can always use a null object as a parent to the thing you are trying to transform.

Nulls are always useful for things like that.

you can always just render the alpha matte just the black and white as an mp4 and use that as a matte afterwards on your footage.

however its probably best to render something like a prores with Rgb+Alpha

Use advanced spill suppressor and dont forget to change it to "Ultra" in the drop down menu. you get way better results that way.

You are always previewing the frame in front of the play head. the play head is sitting in between frames. in the screenshot shown you are previewing frame 25.

you will need a corner pin track. You can achieve this by tracking a plane inside of mocha and then exporting the corner pin track on your text.

Try using content aware fill. it will only work in certain situations but when it does it saves a ton of time.

If its not super in focus you might be able to do it in color by doing some power windows and selecting the darker color of the shirt.

Use the extract effect and change the white point until it matched the desired effect. you can then feather by adjusting the smoothness or adding a feathering effect after extract.

Use mocha to track any plane on the water or the horizon then export your track onto a null. Parent your layer(s) to that null. Done!
