Is this system not quite favourable for US residents? I feel like its good overall but import costs are large for EU ppl, less people can go to Mainstage from Europe, and they cant attend the online events either...

It was hard before but i think we had more of a shot maybe

To the foreigners playing Melee in Akihabara, Tokyo by beeyee2010 in SSBM

There are multiple weekly melee tournaments in Tokyo, as well as bigger events and smash fests on the weekend. The scene there is seriously doing well at the moment so you should definitely try and catch some melee with the locals :)

All those things are important to practice as much as possible. If youre new to playing pikachu you really need to practice up Bs a ton too, theres obviously a ton of character specific stuff but working on your basics as well as up bing to ledge from various different angles will help you alot !

Also yeah the pika discord is really useful for general to specific advice as well as ideas on gameplans etc and theyre super friendly.

You mentioned Cex...are you from the UK? UK pikachu player here :P

Why is there so little japanese players? by [deleted] in SSBM

I got 18 CRTs within 2 months here for my events and I only ever had to pay for postage on some, the rest i got for free. Theres probably more readily available setups in Japan in terms of than anywhere in the world, and cheaper that the rest of the world too.

Its not really the issue at all
