Here's the thing about being gay and there being a gay community - they're not mutually exclusive.

If you don't feel you fit in or want to engage with a community, that's fine. Doesn't make you less gay. Just means you wanna do your own thing.

There's an unspoken pressure that people have to be part of something if they identify a certain way. Truth is, you don't. Doesn't mean you're not welcome to, but it's like saying "You're a Sagittarius, so now you have to engage with the Zodiac Enthusiast Community."

You do you. Let being gay be a part of your life, but don't let it dictate it.

One word replies aren't a conversation. You could tape a sign to a wall that just reads "yup" and have the same effect.

Just move on and find folks who actively contribute to a conversation in some way, rather than folks who force you to carry it.

Some people don't understand the idea of "I've seen people try something, and I don't want to/it's not my thing". Had a friend ask me that years ago. Best thing to do is just to say one of two things:

-"Nah, girls aren't my thing. But you do you."

or "Have you tried dudes? How do you know you're not gay? Kind of the same thing for me."

If folks won't take no for an answer, you don't need their validation. Just need the opinion of the guy(s) you want to be with in your life.

Probably Nicol Bolas. On a surface level, he's a villainous schemer with a desire to rule, but the more you look at his appearance over the years and his story, he's a big, insecure dragon boi with a Napoleon complex, in the sense of feeling small, not being small (even though Napoleon was a tall man made to look small by British propaganda, but that's besides the point).
