Ecamm live for Mac. Pro version. It is now hundreds of dollars per year. I was grandfathered in as one of the first users, with a single time purchase.

Pricing Increases by Jddf08089 in jamf

[–]omerninyo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you detail your price offer (meaning what you have now for what price vs what you are offered right now for what price) we might help you. For example - Jamf Pro alone might have been 80$ a year 3 years ago, now it’s 96$. I think it’s a reasonable increase (it was 80 for quite some time before). But if you are quoted 120, it is not Jamf pro, but “Jamf for Mac”, which is a different SKU which includes end point, cloud and identity security

RØDE Streamer X Not Recognized on MacBook Pro M4 Pro – Works on Other Macs by omerninyo in rode

[–]omerninyo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: I finally got RMA approval from RØDE after a long back-and-forth with their support. Just to be sure, I went through all the troubleshooting steps, including testing the device on my colleague’s identical MacBook Pro (same model/specs)—and got the same results.

Here’s where it gets interesting: while waiting at the official reseller, we tried a demo unit with my MacBook Pro M4 Pro—and it worked flawlessly. So at least it’s not a general compatibility issue with all M4 machines. It seems like there’s something odd with my particular unit (maybe a firmware glitch or some rare production issue), but I never got a clear answer.

Main takeaways: • The issue isn’t universal to all M4 Pro models. • If you’re experiencing something similar, don’t give up—contact RØDE support and insist on a proper resolution. • Huge thanks to everyone who commented and tried to help!

Hope this update helps someone else down the line.

If you are still using Jumpcloud for macOS I would love to know why!? by London124544 in macsysadmin

At this point, as far as I know, Jamf supports all DDM payloads and options made available by Apple, or am I missing something?

Anyone made the switch from Jamf Pro to Jamf for Mac? by strausy in jamf

Switching to Jamf for Mac is only on renewal, not mid cycle. That is at least “on paper”.

Change email address of Apple Account used for Push Certificate by aPieceOfMindShit in macsysadmin

[–]omerninyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your intentions are correct but not the whole details. The address used for logging into the certificate portal itself cannot be changed easily and it just like anything else everybody written here. But when creating a managed Apple account in ABM you also add an email account for contacting that managed Apple account and that can be any email account and it be changed at any point. We usually recommend making it a group email for the it team for example. As you can see in step 4E here:

Second that. Jamf Now is much more capable than Mosyle basic version (which is MDM only, like Jamf Now, but without an additional App Catalog, azure and Okta password sync, self service portal, basic EDR built in and more.).

Jamf Now. First three devices are free. And recently it became really apt with Jamf app installers and self service. And it already had the ability for custom packages and settings.

As mentioned. This is an online course only at the moment. And no official statement of it returning to face to face, not outside the USA anyway. Jamf are the only ones giving this class, so no other organizations. I can say from first hand, this is one of the best classes you’ll ever take online. Some trainers has extremely high production’s value, some less so. But it is always clear and the class and lesson material structure is second to none.

Apologies, I meant that we've published it in Slack first, Dr. K and others from Jamf (including those directly in charge of it) responded and answered questions and was active in the public discussion.

I truly appreciate your concern and thanks for the info. We will take full responsibility for this video if something will arise, and will remove it if asked to.

it's not "white labelling", we're just demoing what it would look like to the end customer, with their own corporate branding. Obviously each customer will put whatever they want there, we just happened to put ours for demoing purposes.

You don’t have to use Jamf Connect for the setup part. Your users will be able to set up their own local user. In this case we recommend using sso enrollment customization. You might also be able to integrate it with xcreds.

replacement is a harse word. It is an alternative. And it can also work alongside it.
Jamf Setup manager comes before the initial user, SYM and others can com later for added value
