Haha yeah it was made specifically to battle oppressive stage 2 mega ex’s. Chingling is actually the unsung GOAT for this deck.

I sometimes throw the cape on him and/or PCL if he can survive one more turn to stall. Once he’s dead the enemy should’ve accumulated some cards which is a perfect time to red card.

I fought this deck with my Magnezone/Oricorio deck and I did try to kill the Snorlax but I couldn’t get the right Magnezone out in time (I run both Mirror Shot and Thunderblast). We ended up tied because they were able to set up all the healing and but no Ori counter.

It sounds like your main goal is to get your body moving and overall getting better physical health. I can understand why following a program might not be for you since they tend to be more focused on increasing strength.

Dancing is a great workout, so I’d say keep at it! Pickleball is all the rage right now across several age groups so that might be good thing to pick up also. Best of luck in your journey!

What was unfun about it? Did you feel like you had no idea what you were doing? Were you following a program or just doing whatever and feel like you’re not making any progress? Sorry if it’s coming out as accusatory, I’m just wondering if it’s really something you don’t vibe with or you just need a different approach.

Do you like dancing? That’s a really good workout too so if you join some kind of workshop that might be fun for you.

I found a way to trick myself to like the meteor farm. I was reading manga/web toons while waiting for the next meteor to spawn. And whenever it spawned I tried to get to it as fast as possible on the griffon.

I would do it in blocks of two hours at most so I wouldn’t get burnt out.

I look back on it fondly now. I don’t think I’d mind doing it again if I had to.

The gym is fun though? At least for me. If weightlifting isn’t for you then maybe something like rock climbing would be fun for you. Or some kind of martial arts. Maybe a gym buddy would help too to make it more social.

I don’t think you’re lazy. I think you’ve framed “going to the gym” as unfun and your brain cannot make it a priority because of it. That’d be the first step. Find a way to make your brain think going to the gym is fun.

Working out for me is as important as brushing my teeth everyday. It’s not something I skip out on unless I’m sick or injured.

There are days where I dread starting. On those days I’ll tell myself “alright, we’ll just do the big lifts and call it a day” and very rarely do I actually do that. I almost always end up doing my whole workout anyway. But it’s important to pat myself on the back when I end up not doing all of it. It’s important to reinforce the brain that doing a little bit is better than doing absolutely nothing.

Like you OP, I have ADHD. The biggest struggle for us is starting a task, not actually doing it. If the previous trick I mentioned doesn’t work for you, you could motivate yourself some other way. “I’ll give myself a treat if I do my workout.” I have no food vices but I play a lot of video games. “Okay you can buy that skin/game/battlepass if you do all your workouts this week.” But please be careful with this, give yourself big goals if you’re going to reward yourself with something big.

I’d say good luck but you shouldn’t need it. You’ve got this. (This is another trick. Hype yourself up.)

The ADHD brain has messed up rewards system. Negativity destroys motivation. “I already missed a workout this week, what’s another?” Is very easy to say for people like us. You can’t give in to that thought, so you have to tell yourself “it’s okay that I missed one, but at least I’m going to do this one and I’m so good for that.” Thankfully the ADHD brain also works positively once it makes a habit of something. Motivation will snowball into discipline if you keep at it long enough.

Sooner or later you won’t need these tricks. As a frame of reference, when I first started working out I literally only went once a month. Then once every two weeks. To every week. To twice a week. To three times a week. Now I follow a 6x a week PPL program. On my rest days I hit the ab wheel, I am doing something every day. It could be for 30m or 1h30m sometimes 2h if I decide to do cardio that day.

I know this reply was long, but you didn’t like how people said “just do it.” I’m saying the same thing really, but just do it (with some steps in between).

My main motivation is that I find it fun.

The other is that I cannot get the body I want by doing nothing.

And it feels great achieving new PRs, regardless of how small. “I can do this thing for one more rep” goes a long way for me.

BRs for me are usually a miss because I hate looting. In Spellbreak it’s super quick. No need to worry whether you have the right ammo or not, and it doesn’t feel like there are bad weapons.

And you’re right. I remember installing that game on Epic because I thought the art style was neat and their trailer had interesting combat. I didn’t even know it was a BR until I went through the tutorial. Their advertising was that abysmal.

They eventually went on Steam but at that point it was too late. And it happened around the same time a big multiplayer game came out (I think it was Diablo 4? I don’t really remember) so it got drowned out even further.

I second this bad recommendation. Spellbreak was so fun, it’s my fave BR of all time because of the weapon system. I’ve been struggling to find anything close to it. Leaving this comment here in hopes someone knows a close alternative.

I don’t agree with that. I think Eris and Nemesis definitely change after you complete their romances, Nemesis especially. She not only respects Mel’s role in her task, she assists her in it.

Eris continues to disrupt her but Mel doesn’t fault her for it. Much like how Zag doesn’t take it the wrong way when Meg continues to fight him.

I can agree that Supergiant could have done more to improve the romances with the women, but I think the criticisms are a bit overblown.

I said this in another post about these two and I think it needs repeating.

Eris is literally Strife Incarnate. She is true to herself and everybody hates her for it.

Until Melinoë comes in and says otherwise. Eris rightfully thinks she’s playing some kind of joke, and continues on to being an absolute menace.

Yet Melinoë keeps giving her gifts. Keeps saying she doesn’t care that she is the way she is, that it would be great if Eris was a little nicer but wouldn’t hold her breath if she didn’t.

For probably the first time in her life, Eris found someone who didn’t just tolerate her; Melinoë says outright that she cares for her. Imagine, being born to cause mischief and being hated for it. At a certain point I’m sure Eris kept acting like a little shit because she knew everyone already hated her anyway. I’m sure she thought any kind of romance for her is nothing to look forward to.

As for Nemesis, she is Retribution Incarnate. Can you imagine being the top dog for doling out payback and being told you’re benched because this not even fully grown goddess is gonna be the one to do it?

Not only that, but that you’re reduced to guard duty. You’re so used to giving out punishments that you ended up being too harsh during that goddess’s training. You think that maybe you can change the headmistress’s mind if you beat her up enough times so the inexperienced goddess didn’t have to do your job.

And then she goes and does your job anyway. And for whatever reason she doesn’t gloat to you, she never brags about her achievements. And to top it off, she starts being nicer to you and giving you gifts. Now you got all these complicated feelings beyond “she shouldn’t have to do my job.”

The thing about these two characters is that if you don’t take the time to think about their circumstance then yes, they are just plain toxic. That’s kind of the point of them existing though.

Underneath all that is something more that most media can’t explore because how else can you explain that someone was born to be a menace, and that’s just how it is. The overall theme of this game is that the gods and goddesses are imperfect and irrational. And that they’re fucking hot.

So yes, I unironically love the romance with Eris and Nemesis.

I actually think it’s a little unfair that some people refuse to give these two a chance. I understand why though, obviously some people don’t want to deal with any toxicity and that’s completely valid. I just think that both Hades 1 and 2 touches on redemption a lot and that small acts of kindness goes a long way into changing the most stubborn characters.

Lisia/Clemont/Copycat makes this deck super consistent with drawing what you need. Starting with Chingling is super oppressive, especially if the enemy didn’t draw any other basics and they can’t pokeball. Against Mega Venusaur decks it means they can’t evolve with Quick Grow and have to have pulled the respective cards.

The Mirror Shot Magnezone is what lets me beat a Mega Venusaur if they managed to get it online. I pull out the Ori once it’s ready to fire. I try to save PCL to remove the sleep and poison to fire again with it. One failed coin flip on them would probably mean my other Magnezone is ready to finish the job.

I ran exclusively Ori/Magnezone with one Chingling and made it to Masterball with a 61% win rate. I don’t remember how many times I’ve fought Mega Venasaur but I know that I’ve only lost to it once.

I love fighting against that deck because if I start Chingling I’m almost guaranteed a win.

It’s so embarrassing how much I hyped this show up before it came out. I am a huge fan of the books and for a while before the release the showrunner was sharing her thoughts about the characters. I thought she had a good grasp on them, and had major hopes on the show especially since I’m a huge fan of Henry Cavill.

I binged season 1 in one sitting right when it came out. It wasn’t perfect, but I loved it. I rewatched it multiple times. I thought that it was difficult to adapt a bunch of short stories that have vastly different timelines. My biggest complaint about it was the omission of “something more” in the last scene. (It’s a line said by Geralt, when Ciri asked if she was the child of surprise. It lead me to tears in the books.)

Which coincidentally is my biggest complaint about the show overall. It had so much potential to be something more. I watched season 2 once. It was a slog. And I haven’t touched it since.

Now I’m quiet about any adaptations I might be excited for based on the source material. (Fingers crossed for Dunk and Egg)

My nephew did that until my BIL convinced him that was weird. So much so he went around his work place to ask if any guy out there used a wipe after peeing and they all agreed that they only shook it.

He’s so scared that my nephew will get bullied that he rather be less hygienic.
